At what stage do you accept that Starmer has a big problem in his party and it’s not just a Daily Mail plot?

Sunak has a problem in his party too. If the tabloids weren't so partisan, their London Mayoral candidate would be front page news as well.

The Tories should have replaced her (like the previous one), but as her divisive comments play into a particular outer London base, they've cynically left her in place.

As least Starmer kicks his bigots out.

A third Labour politician attended a meeting of activists at the centre of an antisemitism row within the party.

Hyndburn councillor Munsif Dad, who leads the local authority's Labour group, is thought to have been at the gathering where two parliamentary candidates are alleged to have made antisemitic remarks.

It is understood that Mr Dad has been "spoken to" by Labour officials, but it is not yet clear if he made any contribution to the meeting and no further action has been taken.

I realise that many a Tory will be turned on by her negative views on certain things.

But, she is so incredibly simple. It’s incredibly difficult to believe that she is not a spoof created by the writers of the Thick of It.

Londoners don’t vote for this type of thing surely? So why have the Tories left her in position knowing full well that she’ll get slaughtered?

Is there some sort of requirement to be a politician where you have to be incredibly dim to apply?

How do they not know that this stuff they say is coming out and it will destroy their career and seriously damage the party.

When Starmer gets a big problem in his Party that isn't a Daily Mail plot.

Starmer wholeheartedly supporting the genocide taking place right now might be (should be) considered a big problem by some voters but not enough to stop him getting elected.

Guido has been big at pushing the Labour story, but it seems as per usual the right can be as Islamophobic as they like and not a word

So many of you utterly silent on the afternoon of 7/10 now banging the genocide drum. All of you have one thing in common ……….
Nobody was silent mate. The evidence is there in all the posts on this thread. 99% here are horrified by the violence on both sides and just want for it to somehow end in an equitable way.

The other 1% have signed up to pile on for their "side"

I think he was replying to someone with a long record of piling in on one side. I put Bore-off on ignore many years ago

I agree that most comment on this thread is reasonable. However, I suspect there is a silent element out there, far bigger than 1%, who have long since decided on a side, and those who are on NSC have chosen to not add to this thread.

These politicians who are being outed for gobbing off do so, in my opinion, because they live in a bubble. If you live in a muslim Rochdale labour bubble, reasonable debate on the welfare of Israel is probably not a frequent conversation topic.

Anyway, very pleased to see Starmer loading them into his trebuchet, and flinging them into the political wood chipper.

He isn't, but he isn't able to criticise Israeli actions as strongly as he might, due to papers like the Mail being ready to jump on it. This isn't a problem in his party, its a problem in the press.

Were they all stood in a field in Hampshire and not on here like I was? I didn't post anything on 7th October for that reason, I just wanted to check whether it's therefore wrong of me in your eyes to now say what is happening in Gaza is unacceptable because I wasn't sat in front of my computer on a Saturday in October.

Don't think the Mail is a key reason. He has been supportive of Israel and it's war crimes since the start. He is supportive of whatever Israel does as it's politically advantageous (aligns with US policy) and the Labour front bench and also a number of leading members including Starmer are in Labour Friends of Israel and receive funding from them.
