This doesn't seem like our type of signing. 25 year old and unlikely to be world class. He would cost a lot and his value is unlikely to change over 2/3 seasons.

No mention of this January, for sure though?

It's a big yes from me. He's been Leicester's stand-out player and has run their midfield this season. He's obviously well versed in the English game so would be ready to compete for a place straight away. A good age, still 2 or 3 weeks away from his peak. It would be another statement of intent by the club in what's turning out to be our busiest January window for years. Hope we can get this one done.
2 or 3 weeks ? Does that mean he’ll get worse next month ?

He’s 2 or 3 weeks away from his peak? Does that mean from mid-February he’s going to go downhill?

Maybe we view him as the finished article and one to keep and not so much as an 'investment', who we know will move on to greener pastures (e.g. Caicedo).

Judging by the reaction of Leicester fans on twitter, he is their best player, too good for ‘tinpot’ Brighton and the only reason they’d sell is to save themselves from bankruptcy.

They are not happy.

I’m in.

A left footed central midfielder who can do a bit of everything. Where Baleba struggles with positioning and decision making, he excels. Where Dahoud comes up short with determination, tenacity and strength, he stands out.
