Not in the 10 minutes press conference, he said not his job to answer and they will analyse the injured players and their time scale to full return, for the decisions of the club.

I'm glad you said that, thought I might have missed it but couldn't be bothered to go back and check. Was very non committal about new signings in my opinion.
The guy Ryan Ansett tweeted it after the press conference today. I assume he was there as he usually is

To be fair to you now I have seen the press conference if that’s all he said then it seems a little bit of a stretch what that Ryan Ansett guy is claiming but I don’t know if there is an embargoed part of the press conference we haven’t seen.

Its slightly difficult with the language barrier but I took that to mean that he felt we need other players coming back from injury. Maybe he was more explicit about wanting to actually sign (two) more players elsewhere but I didn't get that from the You Tube press conference.

He said that in response to the question asking whether Barco would be sent out on loan. I think that some have misunderstood this to mean he needs other players as well as Barco and those returning to fitness, but he didn't actually say that.

Is RDZ saying we need to buy two or three players in January or in a not very well translated way, that we need 2 or 3 of our injuries back in order to cover all our positions with players playing in their normal position? In other words, yes we still need 2 or 3 players but those players we already have and until our injuries are back we can’t play at our full strength?
The second translation makes more sense to me.
I don’t think we will buy anyone else unless it is someone we have been targeting/watching at least since last summer who has become available for the ‘right price’. I think our main problem ( apart from injuries) has been needing a flexible player at LFB who can drive the ball forward ( like Pervis) and a defensive midfielder who can bed in quicker than Baleba has been able to. I think we could use another winger but between our Academy players moving up and RDZs recent formation tweaks, we seem to have avoided too much pain from missing Mitoma and Adingra. Barco may well be helping us out too before mid February ).

I’m not so sure.
Two reasons.
1. January is normally a good time to sign South American players as most leagues are in the close season and don’t cross over from one calendar month to another. I believe we signed Mac and Buonanotte in January.
2. With the EPL bringing forward FFP administration to try and ensure punishments fall in the same season as accounts are submitted, a number of clubs are struggling for head room when it comes to signing players. That means that there is much fewer competitors for us to worry about. Evidence for this is the EPL signings list to date - so few signings. I suspect we could burn £200m+ and still not worry about FFP.
The upshot of this is that there could be some very good signings out there we could make now that would make more sense this month than the summer (Samardzic etc). Lallana and Milner won’t be with us forever. March is injured until at least May. There is room in the squad for at least two more.
But those players could be expensive ones where we seek to only double their value, for example, Joao Pedro is surely worth £60m+ (we’d probably need a lot more to say goodbye).
The lights at the Amex office are still on very late into the evening. They are still working very hard on recruitment.

Despite a 16 days rest , we only have Lamptey back for tomorrow night match , probably be injured after 30 mins ,
I know the rest of the squad have had a good rest now , but would of thought some of our walking wounded would be fit again ,

Fair play. In the press conference the club posted, RDZ was ambiguous, and it might be that Ansett and Cantor were reading certain things into it that he did or did not convey. Alternatively, there might have been further questions outside of what the club released where he was more specific.
Given this or further clarification from the journos (Cantor especially), I'll await until he says something specifically before assuming that he's gone public.
Tbf veltman , fati and Enciso were always Feb. Looks like fati could be earlier.
