On what basis? You're just making it up.
The game is 12 days away. We've not sold out the lower tier for a league game 3 weeks later. Why would we pay up front for the upper tier?

At £15 a ticket, Sheff Utd would have sold their usual seats in the upper tier. Guess we will have to wait and see. But looking on here, the demand for this game is a lot higher than it is for the league game, for a number of reasons - cheap tickets, better transport available that weekend, points added before the EL away game draw

How do you know what interest Sheffield United have in a cup game, £15 or not? You're just guessing.
Just because a few people are getting twitchy about getting a ticket for a game in 12 days time, does not suddenly mean we're taking 5500 to Yorkshire at short notice because it's £15 off. Just wait and see

I'd agree that it certainly isn't write a strongly worded letter to PBOBE unjust but it does seem slightly out of kilter with a similar distance game.
Forest and Stoke were shorter distances and both were 15.00 Saturday KOs. They were 15 points. The league game is also 15. If anything, I'd expect the 10/15 to be the other way round. There are fewer tickets for the league so to generate the extra demand required to fill the end for the cup I'd have expected 15.
Recent 10s were also West Ham and Palace - stones throws in comparison.

judging by the 310 points that would indicate we’ve only got 2800? Or at least we’ve definitely got 2800 with a view to more. I imagine Sheffield United will hold the upper tier back. Seems sensible from both clubs IMO.

Prior to Stoke points being added (15), 305 points meant you in the top 3,000 of season ticket points. Top 6,000 was 246+
In a nutshell it's impossible for the top 5,800 season ticket points holders to now be 310 plus.

You haven't factored in Price of the Sunday game, or the Game being available on Sky.
With 15 points being the maximum, it is fairly obvious why this is only a ten point game. The club know a bit more about how much of a factor price is after Stoke sold unexpectedly well to the extent that they needed to go back and ask for more tickets.

I appreciate some people made the effort to go to Stoke because it was 15 points in the bank but if we have got 5,800 tickets - and that isn't 100% clear yet - the extra 5 points may encourage a few more to go which to my mind is what we all want. More Albion in the stadium.

I think the encouragement to go should be, to support the team in a tough away fixture in a winnable cup. That’s why I’m going.

From a personal point of view, I'll be going to the league and cup games and I still would if it was worth 5 points each. Clearly though, there is increased uptake because of points this season. I doubt we'd have taken 4,000 to Stoke otherwise. If an extra 5 points encourages a few more to the Cup game, surely that's no bad thing for us all round?
(I appreciate it's a different conversation if we've agreed a small allocation for whatever reason)

I'm only going in order to spend a fortune at one of the best Italian restaurants in the country, but another 10 points is nice.
To be serious for a second this is a good effort in the end. Very reasonably priced, collect from Amex, 10 points is about right and it’s Saturday 3pm

Sorry I was a bit short there, I’m just getting a bit tired of the points conversation. I think people have lost track of what going to some of these away games is about, which is (as @Guinness Boy said) getting pissed on the train and supporting the team. It’s a Saturday 3pm so it makes sense why it’s less points, it would be great if more people went I agree, but shouldn’t people’s incentive to go be the day out, rather than the reward of points. The league game it is near on impossible to get to by train, it’s on TV and it’s a working day the next day, it makes sense why that’s worth more. We should be rewarding the fans who would show the commitment regardless rather than encouraging the commitment for the cup game, that’s the whole point of the system.

If you have seen some of my recent posts you will know that i have decided to do just one of the two Sheffield games and was leaning towards the cup. The reason for this was more to do with the transport issues on the sunday game being as i no longer feel up to driving all day to games much further afield than Watford Luton or Bournemouth. For me the points thing with 15/10 available is a mild irritation to be soon forgotten as i do my best to cheer the Albion on and into the next round (no excuses obviously!) i thoroughly enjoyed both the atmosphere and the victory at Stoke and meeting Pascal on the train home was an added and unexpected bonus.
So please don't be too upset about the points conversations as like a lot of things on this majestic platform the contrary voices tend to speak longer and louder than those who are more satisfied with their lot!
Personally being the sad person that i am i will be far more interested in whether we have the full allocation and whether we can sell more for this game than the other one. The other game has about a 2200 head start so come on surely we can beat that.
