In the field
They’ve decorated one of the bars at the ground that Newcastle fans will have on Saturday (that’s usually for home fans) with loads of pro-Newcastle slogans, printed chants on the wall etc, including some anti-Sunderland ones.

There is one thing funnier. That being all the folk getting their knickers in a twist over it. Like it really matters. Marco Gabbiadini was a bit 'triggered'.

So, as we would say, they’re ‘welcoming’ them? And that’s deemed tinpot / a serious error of judgement? Blimey, we’ve been serving guest ales and doing the away bar in their team colours for a decade. Barber OUT!

That’s nothing, saw a photo of the hospitality suite we’ve got planned for Palace next month earlier

Most embarrassing? Let me introduce you to Reading:

I always quote that as the most embarrassing thing a club has done. I mean, where do you begin?!!! Makes your teeth itch.

I'll be pi££ed off too, a close rivalry like that. It just the same as when Portsmouth were given the NS at the Goldstone in the FA Cup and we had to go in the Chicken Run.

It's normally the home bar. Hence the problems. Imagine if we gave Palace Dick's bar for a game and redecorated it in Palace colours/chants.

"cheer up Peter Reid" was one thing on a sign - wtf were they thinking!

An encouragement to mock one of their greats and a song that includes ‘sad mackem bastard’ in it 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did nobody think about it when ordering / receiving / putting up the signs ffs - that is absolutely bizarre.

This is right up there with the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen a football club do.
Agreed it’s a shocker but I’d recommend the documentary Sunderland till I die and you will see it’s just another chapter in their recent embarassing history!

Feel for their fans who are decent.
