Even without my anti Palace hat on, that is a truly awful, unbelievable VAR decision. Never ever a red.

A joke of a red card. Studs up but no force whatsoever, gets the ball and slight contact. When are refs going to start to grow a pair and tell VAR assistants where to stick it?

That's totally ruined a pretty poor match for me. I've now turned it off and I'm going on Youtube for some cat videos
It seems like all contentious reds stem from the player doing something slightly stupid - forcing 'them' to make a decision.

It's becoming a game refereed remotely.
Assistants don't flag for clear offsides and referees never override VAR.

The problem is when you have everyone crying for consistency all the time then that means it has to be letter of the law, because “common sense” will vary among different people, referees and VAR included.
Not clear what happened to McNeil there but doesn’t look good……..and Mateta being a
