I witnessed the unprovoked assault on the innocent fan from row three or four rows behind.
Happy to be called as a witness on the attack. The guy had no remorse whatsoever for his actions. Head butted first and then followed up with a punch to the head 30 secs later when the innocent fan had been trying to calm the situation down. His son was visibly distressed by his fathers action and was quite apologetic about it.
That so called ‘Albion fan’ doesn’t not deserve to watch a Brighton game for a long long time. Disgrace to the club and his son.

You get it at home games as well. The Newcastle home game a Down syndrome lad was pushed by a fellow fan. I had some twat refuse to move out the way when I was walking past with my young son. I don't even think it's down to booze, some people forget basic manners when they go to football.

Maybe contact the club saying you’re willing to back up claim. Otherwise this will get away with for sure. Others need to do similarly, it’s your civil duty to.

A different angle but I feel really sorry for the teenage son (if that’s what he is). How awful it must be to see your dad in that state, assaulting a fellow (defenceless) fan and then seeing him ignore your desperate pleas to stop.

Clearly not fit to be a parent. What else must go on in that child’s life? Poor kid.

I disagree to be honest, those who need to know who is will in due course know, if they don't already.
I am thinking of the son, who was by all accounts extremely apologetic and distraught at his fathers actions, the father will be punished, there is no point more or less naming the father, the son will be embarrassed enough never mind being tarnished with the same brush, and possible repercussions from others.

Court certainly not on your side, so yes, off to prison you’d go. It’s not illegal to take anyone’s photo. It is illegal to assault someone for doing so. Not sure why you’re struggling with this common, never mind legal, sense?

That’s a rather odd defence, being related to such an idiot and any shame that comes with is just part of life’s deal. Plenty celebrate it after all, at least this kid stands a chance in life if he was outraged and knows right from wrong. Lots of spawn from such scum would have been impressed by and put boot in too!

Have you never seen Twitter or insta? Loads of photos from games featuring random people. Whole accounts devoted to cctv incidents and people filming fights.

There was a whole thread on here of hilarious pics and videos of angry Wolves fans in corporate hospitality. I hope you didn’t laugh at them.

The whole ‘you can’t video me’ movement is just weird. Legally you can and, if you’re behaving, what’s wrong?

Isn’t the point that posting a photo of someone and accusing them of assault could be defamatory if for example, a mistake has been made?
