Pubs on John Bright St are pretty good ( Cherry Reds , Brewdog , Victoria . The Railway is cheap & a bit rough & ready though. Centre of town , Shakespeare & Trocdero are good 'normal boozers', both on Temple st . The Wellington on the next road up is good for real ale. Digbeth is hit & miss "...
Me - cos I'm exiled in Birmingham! Being someone familiar with the 'locals' I would echo the sentiments of earlier posters- Blues fans have something of a chip on their shoulder & seem to hate supporters of every other club equally , colours not advised for that reason as well as the fact that...
Sorry for being absolutely no help whatsoever then ! I would concur with others that its either a connection issue or it's the tv settings ( have you looked at the pc setting in your tv ?)
No need !
Yes , I read the thread - just wondering why the op was using VGA - hdmi instead of hdmi-hdmi .
The reply re : where to buy adaptors was to poster Cullip4.
Thanks for your concern though .
Does your laptop have no hdmi output - if it does a standard hdmi cable will do the trick. As for obtaining adaptors , Maplin is the place ( Maplin™ - The Electronics Specialist
) , there's a branch on London road if you're in Brighton.
Blow up seagulls are dead exciting ! I'm probably going to end up in kings norton ex service men's club on the grounds that the beer is cheap & it's close to my house !
The Troc is pretty good for the city centre, beware of wearing any colours in town though lots of door fools get a bit pissy especially on a Friday (something to do with the local goons being unable to behave themselves probably).
White horse is always good for rugby, never watched footie there. I live fairly close to the Navigation so could check that out . There's a pub in Selly Oak called the Bristol Pear which has a number of screens including a separate upstairs bar ... Could be good , could also be full of students !
Sorry dude , didn't see your thread from yesterday . There is the 'sports bar' but that's on Broad st which is best avoided on a Friday( best avoided any time tbh!) . I'm in Cotteridge so want to avoid town if possible .
Having lived in Birmingham for 20+ years , I am fairly sure it's a Seagulls free zone ( apart from a bloke who was cycling up Coldbath road in Kings Heath last week wearing an old Skint shirt who I almost made fall off his bike by shouting seagulls very loudly out of my car window !). Should...
