also, in tools > options > preferences (on msnger 4 main window) remove the tick from "allow this program to run in the background" That should sort it, I think you can remove it completely from the Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components. section of that...

if its windows XP, windows messenger is there anyway. load it up, and in the options, untick the "load windows messenger on startup".

The filesize also is checked on vBulletin. I'm sure Turkey can tell us what its set to, so along with size, in height and width, also size in terms of kilobytes will matter too :)
