'That was our big chance/defining moment' - Agree or disagree?

I think Chris Hughton has had his fingers burnt by bigger clubs. He must know he's onto a good thing here.

'That was our big chance/defining moment' - Agree or disagree?

I think Villa will struggle regardless of who they get in. Too many bang average players on big wages. I think Newcastle will get automatic and Norwich will be tough to beat if they keep Alex Neil.

This. Just go for it - we have **** all to lose.

Stephens and Kayal probably - Goldson will go for a decent fee, but I can't see Knockaert going anytime soon.

    Sami Hyypia

From the few minutes I have bothered to look at wikipedia - It looks like his first season in charge was a shared role with Sascha Lewandowski - they had a decent season. Lewandowski then returned to the youth setup, and Hyypia became the 1st team coach. As you said, towards the end of the...

    Sami Hyypia

I think we'll get him. Regardless of any WBA/Southampton rumour. Still - a former high profile player who walks into a top job, in one of the best leagues in the world - sacked 2 years later. I do worry about his mentality. I'd have a lot more faith if he had reached that level of management the...

    Players to leave our club

Murray for me. Natural born goalscorers are hard to come by so to let him go to our arch rivals for nothing was insane. Hurts even more to know the goals he scored helped them get to where they are as Easter and Wilbraham definitely wouldn't have got them up.

Have a funny feeling he will be English. Sherwood, maybe. Someone with enough guts for the fight.

[Palace] Palace earned £73.2 million from TV rights this season

They had to pay rent there for years. Simon Jordan spent £12million to get the ground back... then they went into administration 4 years later.

[Palace] Palace earned £73.2 million from TV rights this season

Administrators accept any old bid, They don't give a f**k what it is or what the player is worth. They accepted a bid of £250,000 bid for Clyne lol - who then refused to go to. Zaha didn't go because clubs had their eyes on Speroni, Clyne, Fonte, Ambrose, Danns, Moses and Scannell. If you asked...

edit: That Goldberg deal was so dumb. Cost Palace a lot of money.

Why didn't someone take him then if we all knew about him? They had a bunch of players who clubs were after at that time, Zaha wasn't on anyone's radar. In fact, I wouldn't mind betting that the administration sped up his introduction to first team football.

Zaha had played like, 1 game at that time - nobody knew about him. edit: They did lose Moses however, who was sold to Chelsea for £9million 2 years later. So, you are pretty wrong.

    Zola !!!!

Don't rate Zola. Wasn't up to the job at West Ham and underachieved at Watford. Steve Clarke would be no.1 choice. Malky did well at Watford. Cardiff, just alright. He did get them promoted as champions (in a pretty weak Championship season), but they spent a fortune in the process. His...
