Meet Our New Manager

Marco Silva ?

Well he might not be our number one choice, but if he does get the job, we have to back him. I remember, when Hull got relegated on the last game of the season at selhurst, he clapped the Palace in the main stand and Holmesdale as he walked off, just saying.

This is actually so true:

‘ Sorry but you dont pull out of talks with a club because you decide actually you "want a longer break from football". What bulls***. I suspect he found out the enormity of the task and realised that there would be limited funds available .... and what money there is would be spent by SP and Dougie not him. Hopeless as per f***ing usual.’

So what put Swiss Roy off? The cladding? The dangerous building site (selhurst)? the amateur fan chairman on Twitter? The floor shitting chances? The lack of football players? The diver wanting out? The area & the crime rate? The fact the town is most famous for a chavy haircut? The wannabe hard accents? The always ultras being given permission to decide who sits where? I could go on and on and on… We’ll never know…

Brilliant news to wake up to. Thought Favre sounded excellent.

John Terry , lampard or Big Sam please.

Has to be the return of Colin W@nker, he has unfinished business at Selhurst and a final swansong for this 'great' of the managerial merry-go-round would be a wonderful achievement for Prince Charming and his confederates. please ??

I watched a bit of their documentary on Amazon - hilarious. The lifelong supporter who only planned to take over if they didn't get relegated (contrast that with Dick Knight), the celebrity comedian fan so proud of his South London roots that he lived in Hove, the rewriting of history, you could go on and on. And they do, don't they?

How long before the fans start thinking that Beaky has hidden serious limitations?

I accept he deserves credit for stepping in and ensuring that a phoenix could rise from the flames again but he hasn't half ridden his luck. Save for Roy, his managerial appointments have been a bit 'chicken in a basket'. Mind you, fair play, mission accomplished time after time staying in the PL. Some might say that:

He's bungled the Dibley situation.
His investors want out because they can see where its going.
He's fukked fans over with seat moves.
He got overexcited with his new stand vanity plan and has delivered nothing there.
He can't get a manger.
He's got a small squad which might become even more aged if he takes the easy option and resigns all the old codgers.
His leading the 'project restart' might have been driven by needing that TV money.

It ain't easy and he maybe was the right man for the right time but things move and move quickly. He might be out of his depth now.

Is he still taking a wage?
I seem to recall there was one set of accounts that implied he was on North of £2m a year.

Where’s Nigel Adkins these days? Maybe he can ‘keep them up’?

Practicing a guard of honour I hope, I doubt he’s “keeping up” these days though, the ****.

Even Palace won’t be turning to him sadly

Oh, please please please please. That would be just too funny. :)

Perhaps Cooper would prefer the thought of a club with a new stand.

Palace don’t like the thought of paying £3 million compensation to Swansea, so even if Cooper wants to join them, it’s far from a done deal.
Palace fans asking if it will come from an already paltry transfer budget.

Hopefully, this will run and run.
