. Hasn't he just gone to Scotland for a job?

He has no shame in walking out of a job though, with a smug grin of course, ask Burnley

Parish and Smug with a team to rebuild, bring it on!

He's had a great career all over the world. Did brilliant work at Fulham and at West Brom, and you have to say at Palace too. He's pragmatic, but that is often what is needed outside of the top six. He's had comparatively little money to spend there and has always kept them well above water despite consistent grumbling from the unrealistic element among their fans. I'm sure that the majority of Paalce fans will recognise this and be sorry to lose him.

Now, given that he got sacked from England just as Palace were in desperate straits and that they had previously had the same luck when Allardyce got sacked by England just as they gave Pardew the boot, would it be too much to hope that, upon our embarrassing early exit from the Euros this summer, the Palace board think that it will work again and appoint the sacked Southgate? I'd love to see the emperor's new waistcoat at the centre of Palace's collapse.

Palace have had Pardew, Allardyce, Pulis, Warnock and Hodgson. They only need Mark Hughes and they complete the set of merry-go-round managers

73 years old. Had enough which you can't blame him after all this time.

On MOTD2 they listed out the players out of contract and said "with Hodgson going" like it had already been announced. Hate to say it but he's done a decent job at Palarse, kept them mid table all season

Imagine all the knowledge he has about the game , hard not to admire him both as a manager and a person , I think he will pop up as a director of football somewhere perhaps even next season , he seems the type of person who would be lost without the game .

They`ve known this for a long time so they must have someone lined up.
Hopefully another De Boer type who loses his first 8 matches then they end up bringing in Allardyce to suit their hoofball.

Good career and always seems a gentlemen only tainted by his choice of retirement home.

Interesting times for them. New manager and basically a new squad. In normal times I think they'd be in big trouble, dubious budget and although they will have big savings in wages could they afford the fees? This year there could be a lot of players available either free or on reduced fees and terms so it could be a great year to be in their position or alternatively they could take a while to appoint, struggle to shift Winnie and be forced to re-sign too many of the old shit they have and be gone by Xmas. Here's hoping...

Everything that’s wrong with football - a club formed in 2010 still overspending and getting hundreds of mil for a league they haven’t earned the right to be in. Nothing will change this ever - we will always be a proper club especially compared to that franchise shambles!

Fourth biggest debt in football, Shebeaux. You must be very proud.

La Francais version I like. Very proud - we have no debt and a fan owner mate :) I know it hurts that we’re better than you at just about everything x

Bookmarked.
The irony is that the only time we HAVE finished above you in recent times, you STILL got the better of us.

I just hope you get relegated, but you never do so it's pretty pointless really. I'm happy enough with the consolation prize - finishing about 3 places behind you but with a far better set up behind the scenes, all the while watching Portsmouth continue to slum it in league one. That part never gets boring. :clap2:
