I only have 1,5 season to judge from so I would have to say Gaetan Bong. Or Martin Montoya. Or Viktor Gyökeres.

All of them feels a bit harsh though.

Very harsh.

Someone has mentioned mark mccammon already but he also gave me a football highlight. Away at Leeds in 2005 (the yelldell game) I remember him getting into a foot race with a Leeds defender - it might have been buttler their old centre back. They were both so slow that people in the crowd laughed (I was in the Leeds stand and it happened in front of me). That was a moment when I thought “wow we are not very good and Leeds have fallen a long way”

Chris ogrady was pretty bad. I spent a wedding anniversary at Walsall shortly after shoreham to see the pen he might have kicked out of the ground.

Liam dickensen was rubbish too. He looks okay when I have seen him in national league north though.

What a dickhead comment, Pick a young player from our youth team. The go on to slate his career. Would have gave a lot more than plenty of players who stole a living playing for the club.

Any of:

Richard Tiltman
Glen Geard - Lucky to have got 45 minutes away at Arsenal in the League Cup, should have been hooked after 10 minutes
Ashley Neal

Been a few over the years. The goldstone period under Liam Brady comes to mind. Kevin Mcgarrigle. Denny Mundee, Phil Andrews. At withdean Chris McPhee and Scott Ramsey were quite bad. At the Amex I’d agree with Akpom and Billy Painter

This is a very poor reply to my point, you should be ashamed of yourself. You have totally misunderstood my point.

I think playing in the National League South is something to be very proud about, you have to be pretty good to do that but it’s not professional football, that was my point. My criticism was aimed at the recruitment during the transfer window in Sami’s first and only season. It was horrific. You probably weren’t at the match but Hyypia had no choice but to play Fenelon in the August because other players hadn’t been signed (and when they were, they weren’t that much better!). Plenty of youth team players end up in semi-pro football, it’s no disgrace but they do look out of place in the Championship and that happened to Fenelon.

In terms of ability, he is the worst I’ve I seen which is what the thread is about. In terms of attitude or effort, I’m not aware of any problems, he probably had a brilliant attitude but that alone does not give you a career as a professional footballer. I could highlight plenty of players that fit that category of worst attitude which is what you appear to think this thread is about.

Yes first I thought so. But then I thought it actually highlights how good things are now when the worst I can think of are some decent, reliable footballers.

Obviously Tilts is a mate of over 40 years so I will always defend him, but you clearly never saw either Ashley Neal or Glen Thomas in an Albion shirt?

I saw Tilt's goal at Barnsley, which was a 25 yard zinger, followed by him hitting the post with a similar one five minutes later, so he is definitely out of contention.

Ashley Neal.
Not sure about Christer Warren being named by some - he only played 2.5 games (before he got injured) in one of the worst teams we’ve ever had (the aforementioned A.Neal was in the same team)

It’s all about opinions though so fair do’s

Some valid suggestions here, but surprised to see 'Barn Door' Billy Paynter not mentioned so far. We had him on loan from Dirty and he made a grand total of 10 appearances...

Strange how some players can do it for one club, but not another, was prolific in that partnership with Charlie Austin the season Swindon got promoted, but as the saying goes, he couldn't hit a barn door when wearing an Albion shirt.
