Don't forget to check your wallet / purse for any unwanted plastic before the 1.1.21 namely the EHIC,and you've got a least 6 months on your passport otherwise you'll be a proud owner of a Blue one in the new year , let's get going

Sounds like Johnson has blinked over the weekend. Will the EU give him fishing as his victory to sell his deal to his backbencher?

Talk that there will be a very thin deal agreed Wed/Thurs this week which will get a rushed vote in the House before Christmas recess.

Johnson hopes to get it done and dusted before there is any real scrutiny unlike the WA which Johnson took some time over and then had to rip up several sections as being impossible to accept!

That is very much his modus operandi with the original WA to meet his 31st October deadline, lest we forget.

As long as it is not too thin that food imports are still disrupted - and we all mirror that thinness - than that has to be good news.

Future Governments can always keep fattening the deal up.

If there is a deal it will be a nice surprise

In the meantime I'm doing another round of stockpiling of EU foodstuffs likely to get expensive in the new year.

Its the HUGE LIE that that will never go away for Vote Leave

View attachment 131375

They said we could "have our cake and eat it" and this was enough to bring in the non-racist Leave Vote from the Tory shires. People read the Telegraph, they believed this sh1t

Now they are trying to tell us Leave Voters voted for no deal and it will be no drama

UK business should be threatening to sue the offenders NOW for consequential loses

Aaaaand they're back, bright and early Monday morning ... best tell your Brussels handlers that the campaign ended in 2016 chaps and trying to pass off Pro Remain campaign material as a Government/Leave manifesto isn't too clever when complaining about misinformation/lying.

I wouldn't describe Vote Leave's twitter feed as Pro Remain campaign material...

What do you Govie (he was Vote Leave wasn't he?) say last week?

NI can enjoy the best of both worlds” by getting access to the EU single market and access to the rest of the UK market

Clowns..

It's the "No true Scotsman" fallacy at play, everyone is a traitor to the cause in the end because you're just not pure enough. Now even the actual winning Leave campaign isn't Brexit-y enough for the true Brexiters.

Difficult to choose what to stock up on though? everything will go up one way or another. This due to tariffs, delays caused by Customs checks, extra red tape and supermarkets looking to increase profits by slipping an extra few Pence on a price if they can get away with it.

I've stocked the freezer with as much as I can cram in, also tinned vegetables, pasta, rice, bog roll (all made with wood pulp imported from Denmark), toiletries (nobody notices soap until it starts to run out) and basic medicines (the stuff you can pick up easily in Tescos).

It's not the price rises I'm working on but the likely shortages.

"Rule #1 - you can't con an honest man"

- Mickey Bricks, Hustle

Shirley you're not suggesting that our regular Brexiteers on here would be dishonest about what they've done, be dishonest about their reasons for why they've done it or even be dishonest about who they actually are ?

And then wonder why they were conned :lolol:

Do you put all of that into the freezer?

No wonder these tales of the elderly or vulnerable going short are growing, it's because of selfish folk. Not a shortage, just dullards stockpiling.

I bet you have your bags ready.

Supermarkets are stock piling with a view to increasing prices inline with tariffs, then selling their old stock they brought in previously. Easy profits...

Meat and diary are going to be the things that will get hammered, so cured meats, cheese that will freeze, also plus feta, Halloumi (long shelf life). Not sure about tariffs on processed stuff but stuff in jars and tins will keep forever anyway

If there is no deal I doubt it will be this week, imagine the panic of Christmas dinner shop and no deal. Its bad enough without no deal

What about flour, remember the panic before. People go mental...
