On that basis all overhead kicks should be a straight red.

They tend not to like like a move from the Karate Kid.

From the FA website

PLAYING IN A DANGEROUS MANNER

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.

A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that it is not dangerous to an opponent.

Studs are unlikely to actually touch the opponent on an overhead kick, they may catch a boot in the face though.

It doesn't help that studs are more like razor blades these days, they nearly chopped Rooney's leg in half few years back.

Really shame if Biss misses three now. For me he’s now our best player and easily one of the best CMs in the league.

I’m sure it’s been said already but Newcastle ran around like thugs for 90 mins and still have 11 men on the pitch and Bissouma gets sent off for something that wasn’t deliberate. Once again Friend is no friend of the Albion

I think the ref had a great game, didnt get a decision wrong.

If we lose this then how much longer will Potter really have? He was doing so well until this season. I'm already having my doubts.

I have full faith in GP and am on record saying I’d back him as our manager if the worst were to happen, relegation.

Don’t think that’s going to happen, but that’s my support of the man and his footballing ethos and sporting philosophy. Think he and our club are a perfect fit for each other.

And today is why I feel this way.

What an incredible manager we have and what a team we are building. To play like that away from home in the Premier League. Stunning.
