I love the grammar police , have you made sergeant yet?? If you haven’t got a reasonable response to the question then why do these people post

I hope you get many a new dictionary for Christmas

Because if you are going to moan about someone not doing something properly, at least do them, and us, the service of starting a thread that makes sense.

Don’t complain about others not doing their job properly, if you can’t do the same as the thread starter has!

we should have played 5-2-3 today which would have become 3-4-3 when attacking

duffy and bissouma should have started

nothing else to discuss

Stephens has been brilliant this season. Today was an off day and as Warren said on the radio, he often dallied on the ball because nothing was on - they all have them.

Webster is entirely frustrating. He’s not strong enough and very error prone. He’s in the team for his ability on the ball which was clearly lacking today. I’d far rather see Ben White or Duffy there.

Fully agree with the above!
I’m worried about Webster. Not only today but the past few games he’s looked out of place. Too many mistakes and poor passing which has cost us. I also sense Dunk feels less safe being next to Webster compare to Duffy.

Webster’s confidence gone , Stephens same old . Terrible performance again

Again????

What a load of Balinese. We’ve been excellent recently, bad day at the office today against the best promoted side in recent history, we move in.

Its funny how people watch the game. Everyone was awful today but Stephens was far from the worst, in fact according to 'who scored' which takes into account every in game stat he scored the 4th highest rating. A lot of the time he had the ball with no options. The few times he played decent passes into the strikers feet they lost it straight away. Propper, Trossard, Webster, Gross all much worse.

Well said.

Free passes for non-participants Trossard and Gross, god knows why. Because they’re liked?

I think the team generally were very poor and had GP held up the no 11 to substitute Trossard all11 would have walked off. To answer the question it was Webster by a considerable margin and until GP realises that he is not good enough at any of the tasks ie defending heading or even his reputed strength passing we will struggle to not concede goals. Having said that Stephens, who I rate, had a poor game.

I think Bissouma, Duffy, Connolly & Alzate should all get a chance in the next game.

Drop Webster, Stephens, Trossard & Groß please.
I think with the number of games coming up there will be a mix and match from most if not all of the squad to play.

Webster. So weak. Doesn't learn from his mistakes within the game and almost gave them them two goals. Consistently bullied. Passing nonexistent too and by the end was on his knees. Want to see Duffy in the next game to take him out of the firing line. Plus if you're Duffy and you don't play next game, what does that say about you! Yet he was our player of the season last year and has never ever played as badly as this or gifted the other team so many chances.

What a pathetic thread. Yes Webster was appalling and, once his confidence was clearly shot, should have been taken out of the firing line.
- Agreed, he has not performed for a couple of games now, he was wow-full today, Dunk and Burn having to cover for him when Webster should not have been on the pitch,

But the Stephens haters are really getting out of line now. I could list poor contributions by every player today and obviously as practically every play and transition goes through Stephens, it will reflect in his performance. To single him out is just bizarre.
- Stephens is a one trick pony and is often caught out now. I fail to understand why he walked straight back into the team today when the Bissouma/Propper partnership against Palarse was superb.

Said for couple months, Webster is a donkey. Duffy must come back in or move burn to centre back with Bernardo at left back.

They were both woeful today but Webster looked as if he was playing a football game for the first time in his life today. As bad a performance I can remember for many a year. Duffy, player of last season and second top goalscorer must be wondering what the hell he is doing as a permanent sub now. He is head and shoulders better than Webster

Both were absolutely shitehouse today, but I can see anyone in the squad replacing Stephens. Same can't be said about Webbo.

Dire performance, Beaten by better team not better players. Potter has to take responsibility for this.Out managed, Very strange playing with 3 central attackers in 2nd half. Should have been Murray or Connelly plus Alzate

Ryan 4 So fortunate to not let in more
Burn 5 Dont understand why he players when we have a good full back
Dunk 5 Average given hard time by centre forward
Webster 2 Enough said. Potter got him for his ability to go forward with ball. All very well but poor in air and gets out muscled in one to ones
Montoya 5 After good attacking game v Palace credit to Sheff as they did homework
Gross 4 Sums it up that I cant remember anything he did. Get Alzate in
Stevens 3 Spent game losing or giving ball away. Seems to be surprised somebody is marking him
Propper 4 With such poor performances by 2 of our central player was time to sep up. He didnt
Mooy Poor compared to recent games. Our best central midfielder but spent to much out wide.
Maupay 5 Some sympathy with poor service and lack of support

Harsh on Stephens, had an off day.Humiliating for Duffy seeing Webster on the pitch in front of him.
Taking off 2 players with most assists this season is unbelievable when trying to get back into a game.
Off thread but Burn was just as bad as anyone, cardinal sin not being able to use right foot as pro footballer.
Merry Xmas
