Great article and shows how much propaganda is around.

Propoganda has always been around. Who can forget the Blair/Campbell spin machine?

What this article lays out, clearly, concisely and in some detail (this ensuring most people who should read it will not) is how a new breed of journalists have allowed themselves to be become complicit in the deliberate planting of 'fake news' by those working to a very specific plan - to create division in society and use that division to further their own agendas.

I don't agree with Oborne on politics, but he is 100% right in his critiques of how much of the media and journalists have become corrupted to the detriment of us all.

So if we get a hung parliament again who will the tories team up with?

Surely the DUP won’t?

Cummings hates Farage, so that would rule out Brexit party

He is too shrewd to put personal animosity before commonsense. Despite all the soundbites from Boris ( " We will never join forces with the Brexit Party " ) they know its their best chance of a comfortable majority. Particularly as Farage is up for it.

, but Parliament, understandably needs time time properly scrutinise a hugely important step for the nation.

Shameful.

What really is shameful is that the deal is 95% identical to the one that Theresa May put before Parliament on numerous occassions, but they took no time at all in voting that down. One can only assume that they had fully read and understood the important step that they were voting on.

So the Boris deal has a some small differences in it when compared to May’s deal, mostly concerning Northern Ireland. So Jezza and other remainers suddenly have lost the ability to read the document (110 pages in total, far less than that number that have actually been changed from the May deal) and make a judgement.

It is disingenuous to suggest that the Remain camp have behaved in any other way than shameful in their wilful attempt to subvert the will of the people.

From someone who was once a passionate remainer, but the underhand, dishonest tactics since the referendum have turned me.

So, throwing Northern Ireland under the bus and effectively pushing them in to closer union with Eire and making it harder to trade with the rest of the UK is ok ?

A general election will be fine, as long as Corbyn disappears up his own bum...

...and as long as we get out of the EU and you all realise you fell for the fear-mongering and no-one died.

And this is from someone who elsewhere professed not to be interested in politics.

And it is a bit premature to talk about falling for the fear-mongering and no one dying!

Just the threat of and the uncertainty around Brexit has already had a devastating effect on industry.

Do you read the Daily Mail by any chance!

It’s all rather sad seeing the confused leave voters on here. I genuinely don’t think they understand what’s going on.

“It was supposed to be the easiest deal in history”!!!!

So, out they come with the insults. I would say to you; calm down, it’s due process, it’s democracy. As hard as he’s tried Johnson couldn’t destroy our legal process. Rejoice! For democracy thrives.

1. It is no longer the 'will of the people', in so far as ALL current polling suggests that a majority would rather remain.
2. This specific proposed deal was NEVER the 'will' of 'the people'.
3. I don't believe you, that you were ever a 'passionate remainer'.
4. Furthermore, I don't believe you about your reasons for your supposed turnabout. If you were genuinely somebody worried about 'underhand, dishonest tactics' then for the events of the last couple of years to have turned you TOWARDS the government's line of thinking, would be wholly unimaginable.

I did not type that as well you know. What I am saying is that MPs do not need days and weeks to consider the whole deal, as they have already had ample time to do that, the NI related stuff could and should be able to be concluded in a couple of days, thus enabling a meaningful vote.

To suggest otherwise is just another smokescreen. JC is a charlatan and a fraud, and hopefully very soon to be an historic failure.

No it doesnt, MPs from other parties voted against Mays deal 3 times as well.

The Tories have messed it up right through from Cameron calling a badly formed referendum in the first place.

And then May, when the referendum was lost and the noises were being made to respect the vote, could and should have done a lot more to try and unite the country rather than endlessly seeking to keep her own party on board and placating the ERG. Had she reached out to the other parties for real dialogue right at the very beginning rather than about 10 minutes before an exit deadline, we could well be in a different place now! The word CONSENSUS is something which seems to have disappeared from our vocabulary...….. on all sides.

Oh behave. The Brexit Secretary didn't know the export rules YESTERDAY. If members of the Cabinet don't know what the Bill means in terms of exports from NI to GB do you really think Pariliament should vote it through?

A few more days is needed but Johnson run away.

The whole deal wasn't published until 9pm on Monday evening.

I caught a snippet the other day of Justine Greening - hardly a full blown Corbynite - saying it was ridiculous trying to force through in such a short time a vote on something which is the most important decision for the future of our country in decades, particularly when there is a 500 page plus document to go through.

And she is not alone. There are people on all sides of the House who feel the same, and people who do not trust the Johnson/Cummings alliance in the least. They are well capable of trying to push through the nastiest of bills - the threat to pull the whole bill yesterday if people did not vote for it was an appalling mixture of bullying and emotional blackmail.

And when you look at the quality of the people who are on the Conservative front bench, it does not fill me with confidence!.

But the 'new' deal is about 90% the same of the May deal. So they should definitely have read the May deal. Equally, it was only 110 pages - how long does it take to read 110 pages ?

1. Ahh, democracy that has not yet been enacted is throwaway? Whilst I agree that some who voted for Brexit May well vote differently now, there are many people like myself utterly appalled at what the Remain side has done.

2. There never was a proposed deal, just leave or remain, end.

3. Firstly, you couldn’t be more wrong. Secondly, so what? You don’t like me anyway. I can, but cannot be bothered to trawl back and find historic posts, but if anyone cares to go back more than a year on this thread they are welcome.

4. See 1.
