At least I am grateful for my job so I can be ready for the crash. It's folk like you that I feel sorry for (not you particularly, you're a racist shithead) but folk in your position who live on benefits. It's all out of your hands really. You have to take what you're given.

The immediate act of crashing out is gonna be very tough on benefit claimants' purse strings but the following years of people like Mogg and the new secretary for welfare who are hell bent on, if not dismantling the welfare system then certainly freezing payments and for those on disability benefit....Gawd help you.

Let's say it goes 52:48 to Remain. What then? The Tories and Brexit Party will be mobilising to try again to Leave. Right wing nutjobs out on the streets.

I voted to Leave and if I had LOST the referendum I would have just accepted it and moved on. Many other Leave voters would have done the same. Why? Because we believe in democracy. We had a democratic process and I believe you have to accept the majority decision.

I voted to change the voting system some years ago. I lost and the country is lumbered with FPTP - and look at how well that has worked. But I haven't been marching on the streets to overturn a decision that was made democratically.

Yes, I think we will end up with a second referendum and Remain may well win. But where does that really get us other to make a total mockery of our democracy?

Now who's going to be first with the "thick racist fascist" riposte? Ready.........Steady............GO!!!

A compromise is the only long term solution.

Leave the EU, re-join EFTA, stay in the CU with paid for single market access until such a time ( 10 years +) as a Switzerland type deal has been negotiated, or we decide to stick with the EEA access arrangement.


Bad losers, bad winners, and 'winner takes all' are the 3 real 'enemies of the people'.

Varadkar is being realistic as he's taking Dublin's legal obligations under the Belfast and Anglo-Irish Agreements seriously, whereas Johnson seemingly couldn't care less about London's.

C4 news, apparently the chair of the Brexit Steering Group at the EP was expecting proposals about watering down the Backstop, and they were prepared to move with that. Johnson's proposals have come as a bit of a shock apparently

I know both sides might fall foul of Selective Memory Syndrome but as we totter towards the edge of a cliff largely because of the Irish border issue, I'm trying to recall anyone in the 2016 campaign spending a second yet alone a minute on this. Did no-one see this coming? I can see why the Brexit camp might have been happy for this to escape the radar, but surely someone from the Remain camp might have anticipated such an enormous issue?
