a galaxy far far away
The positive way of looking at this could be that Gyokeres has been absolutely tearing it up in training to the degree that you simply have to get him in the squad even at the expense on a senior pro. This is what I'm trying to believe anyway.

The player they bought the previous season whilst still playing in the championship? Initially, back up to Knockaert?

Whoever. Whatever. He was keeping Knocky out of the team. Knocky didn't signed because he was pi$$ed off not playing.

In other words, however people want to spin it, Knocky was replaced as first choice (which wasn't his choice).

I think AN is within his rights to ask the questions, even given the initial answers. It's his job to question things.

Nothing at all like the Bovril botherer...

Or that Chris never planned to sub the reserve winger on and felt Gyokeres would benefit from time with the first team even though, barring an injury during the game, he was never going to get minutes.

Most likely explanation, also meaning AK could go home for a few days

We played a 433 though. So there were no wingers. Maybe Hughton rates Gyrokeres ahead of Knockaert as a wide player in the 3?

This Gyokeres plays in a 3 for the u23 team and it looks like it is a system we have been moving towards for some time.
