Far from IMO. Ryan kept us in it with some stunning saves and far more worthy. Locadia may have scored (with help from Arsenal just as we helped them for their goal) but his all round game was awful (amongst a number of equals today) His first touch, control and passes were more often that not poor. As for his running, he looks like he’s stuck in treacle. No pace what so ever. I know this sounds harsh but I think today showed why he’s not a PL player despite the goal.

Watching from the comfort of my living room. Apart from the first ten minutes he had a very good game, some very nicely played passes. In the right place at the right time o take the goal. He was not awful, far from it.

I’ll add that Bernardo on another day could have cost us several goals. Proper and Stephens showed why we’ll never score goals in many matches, talk about inability to shoot and or turn attack into defence. Hope Knocky starts next game, Gross was much better today. Murray does what Murray does and Andone looked quick and nimble, what I was hoping for from attackers. But I don’t think Arsenal at their best today. We got lucky on that front. Both sides and the match in a word were scruffy. Very pleased with a point mind.

Blimey he was the best in blue and white. Much improved

needs to lose at least 8 kgs ....solly needs to practice shooting ,interesting to see proper in a more forward role but if he's going to be doing that then he needs to practice also .....happy with the point ...3 would have been lovely ....ta ta

Yep, think that’s why I thought he looked slow. But surely he can’t be over weight. As for Proper and Solly shooting practice...think most of the team could join them but we’ve known that for some time now. Especially away.

Gone off him now.
I think he's a waste of a shirt number.

But he also played some dreadful ones. His step over and drag wide at the end epitomised his sluggish play in a way. It didn’t fool anyone and should have tested the keeper, even scored. Instead, predictably wide. I lost count in the last 15 how many times he lost us possession. As did a number of our players who equally poor. Still we stopped the rot but this was not an excellent display despite the point against a top 6 side. Think we were below par today as were Arsenal. Ryan MOTM for me!

Wow strange how we see the same game but in different ways. I thought his touch and passing was good.

It is. I think when a player scores it can often deflect criticism. But I was really watching him closely and I really think he’s lacking pace and his control at times was awful,as were many players today especially Bernardo who was lucky on 3 occasions not to have let Arsenal score. Maybe been spoilt because Murray cushions the ball or flicks it on with aplomb often as not.

Bloody hell. Arsenal have a great record in the second half especially and we restricted them to a few pot shots all half and looked the more likely to go on and win. Their squad cost millions more than our ours. What were you expecting today?

I know. And they were well below par so we got lucky. As did they because we can be a lot better. It stoppped the rot though and I’d have taken a point all night long before the game, it was just scruffy game IMO full of mistakes as the two goals demonstrably showed.

He also seemed to make several interceptions to break up Arsenal moves. A good performance should do wonders for his confidence. Really pleased for him today.

But do you not think they we contributed to them being below par? Scruffy game perhaps, but i thought our defending really restricted them, and we attacked well on the break.

Localia had a good game. Put in a shift. Made some
Good inteceptions. Linked up well. Scored a goal. Genuinely pleased for him, hope he has another good game soon. UTA.

Yes, as a I said, both sides scruffy. It was only ever, if one team was going to win, be decided by a in off someone’s arse type of goal. I thought some of our breaks were good but typically, a backwards pass, ball given away etc meant the danger passed when we really could and ought to have carved out an opportunity that tested the keeper. But our inability to finish isn’t news around these parts.
