Managers and coaches don’t take the field, they don’t control events. As much as you can tell a group of players to do something, doesn’t mean they’ll do it, or the opposition will let you.

My point is CH and team didn’t send them out to play like they did. Full stop.

I disagree this has been going on a while so yes they are being sent out to play exactly like this .

I didn't boo but I was close. That was a truly awful performance and players sometimes need to know it's not good enough. No reason why we only came to life after the equaliser. And it very clearly didn't come from CH as he was urging them to get the ball out wide and push up throughout.

Quite. Chris Hughton according to the Argus was not pleased with the second half performance. To blame his tactics is just stupid.

What is it then? Why are players not following his tactics or just playing the way they want ?

I think more not being able to deal with Leicester's pressure, as always happens when teams press us like that. Which is just as worrying as not following tactics/ignoring orders

March was awful. He can't take set pieces as well as Knocky, can't beat players like Knocky and spent most of today giving the ball away.

The important instructions are given in the dressing room at half time not on the sideline when you can't hear over 30,000 people. Puel got them right and Hughton got them wrong.

Were you in the dressing room at half-time? Or have you got it bugged?

And if the players were doing what he instructed, why are so many on here saying he was going mad on the sidelines - I'm in WSU and so can't see what goes on down there very well.

And why did he say in the second half we weren't good enough?

Wouldn't all that indicate they were not really doing what they were supposed to be doing?

I am not privy to what CH had said to the players at half-time..... or before the match if it comes to that...…. as some people on here seem to be, or seem to think they are.

Maybe they are not playing to his tactics.... but I doubt whether that would be the case.

or maybe they are playing his tactics but not doing it as well as he thinks they ought to be...… hence his displeasure with the 2nd half performance

And whichever it is, the fact that there is an opposing set of players on the pitch complicates matters. Whatever we decide to do in the match, the opposition might not play as we expect them to play. Apart from which we are all aware that a team reduced to 10 men can often "rise to the occasion", and Vardy (snivelling snide little cheat that he is) obviously gave their team and supporters a lift.

I agree that we should have won, am very disappointed that we didn't come away with all 3 points, but that's football. Ours was a better result than Man Utd got today, drawing at home to Crystal Palace!

I will not be told by any prick how to support my team, they are not above me. Hughton ****ed up big time AGAIN he needs to know that. The away support is falling rapidly, why Chris? Your tactics are failing. Today your tactics failed.

We slept walked in the second half. Awful truly awful.

Not trying to tell you how to support your team...……..,

…………………... but just saying others might have different views.

Justified in my opinion. Second half was a shambles.

Do you get an extra point for drawing against a team with a name starting with “L” or something?

One point for all four teams. Only one of them were reduced to 10 men for over half the game....

Where was this booing? I'm in the north stand and didn't hear any booing.
That's the problem with streams. They can pick up a few people near a microphone.
RM Taylor doesn't post for weeks but then starts a thread because he heard few boos.

I’m in the middle of the west stand; it was very clear.

Man Utd are a top four team (allegedly) and have got players who cost more than our Stadium. Crystal Palace haven't won since 1847.

We are only in our 2nd season in the top flight, which Leicester won a couple of seasons ago.

Yes, we should have won, and alright I'm exaggerating...… but as my mother always used to say "worse things happen at sea".

Well there you go. That's why the commentators mentioned it. A few miseries in the West stand.
It certainly wasn't around the ground.

Nice try. I'm in the West Stand. Not sure what we've done to be called miseries, but the booing quite clearly came from behind the North Stand.

I disagree. Whilst it was probably a minority it was audible was from other stands as well.

I can understand the negativity but this is the reality of the Premier League, we need a minimum three seasons of just staying up, last year there were teams far worse than we were and looks much the same this year as well which has made it far easier. Fans have been fed a blistering attacking style Championship football but we simply do not have those type of players and cannot afford them either unless we start buying players around £40m to £50m starting price. Quite a few of our current players got us promoted and have done really well to adapt.

This will be a huge challenge to the club to satisfy fans perceptions, also, take a look at Stoke they got bored with the Pullis style of play, sacked him then what happened next ?

There will be a lot of negativity as we grind out results.

You'd think we'd learn lessons from Newcastle & Norwich. It didn't do either of them any good.
