If this ban is for a security reason, then that issue needs to be dealt with.

I know a couple of people who are in the seats who have to have gluten free food. Everything at the Amex is loaded with gluten, pies, pizzas, hot dogs, sausage rolls etc.

Club would probably make an exception (assuming these people can’t go more than 3 hours without eating). Comms was pretty clear about exceptions for medical reasons.

Sometimes, I think the hordes of bedwetting snowflakes who seize on every opportunity to stick the knife into the club/Barber, deliberately look for confrontation.

Especially over an issue that, while a slight inconvenience to a small minority of fans, is a logical thing to expect the club to do.

Yes, I didn't pick up the previous poster who said about going without food for two hours. The game lasts for 90 mins so the only people who would be within the two hour limit would be living in Moulsecoomb or Coldean.
Some people travel for two hours before the game and vice versa.

I'm surprised at you looking down your nose at some of the fans, to be honest. There are a lot of older fans, as already pointed out on this thread (someone's Mum, aged 80 who has been going for over 60 years) and calling those of us who sympathise bedwetting snowflakes. Well, if the club are going to be reckless, and leave the fans vulnerable to such a threat by allowing flasks at the Southampton game after making it clear they believe flasks are a health and safety risk, the only way I can protect myself is by not buying a ticket to the Southampton game. I take my health and safety very seriously and I will not dare to risk exposure to such dangers.
