They're in a blind panic now. Running around like headless chickens. Coming out with more 'facts ' to continue project fear. This will go wrong that will fail they scream from the rooftop. Quite funny to watch.

I don't think it's project fear we are dealing with anymore. It's project fact.

No deal is a disaster, and there is no way of spinning it. The whole Leave strategy has been a masterclass in punching oneself in the face - repeatedly - whilst a few ex-pat Brits sit in Belize laughing.

This.

Sadly.

Unfortunately it is an eyes wide open situation, we just want you guys to open yours a bit more. We are effectively playing chicken with the EU, hoping that the problems that no deal causes for them will sway them to concede some ground. The biggest weapon we have in this are the funds we have agreed to pay over the coming years, which in the event of no deal, will be off the table. But here is the problem, the EU don't need all that money in the first 2 or 3 months after we leave, but we do need to have goods crossing the border, in both directions, continuously. Throwing open our borders will not work, the video posted of the 3 guys in the pub explains comprehensively why. So no deal will lead to us quickly wanting to re open negotiations, and the first thing back on the table will be the divorce cash.
The EU know this, they will not buckle, they will want to avoid it if they can as it will be painful all round, but they are in a much, much stronger position than us.
I personally do not believe anyone in Government will allow this to happen, and in this respect, you may call it project fear, but we can't stop saying what a really shit idea it is, as long as Rees-Mogg and others keep saying it is an option.
Is it still funny to watch?

So we're saying to the EU, do a fair deal, or there will be no deal and it will be bad for both of us. That seems reasonable to me.

I disagree. I'd say the biggest weapon (as you put it) that we have, is that no deal will be really bad for the EU too.

Your post is gibberish, it really is.

1. Where am I 'whining'? Note: disagreeing with you or daring to question your claims, doesn't constitute whining.
2. Why did I need to 'specify' where the particular EU research grants come from? What point are you trying to make, exactly?
3. '2' is embarrassingly hypocritical given that the post you are reacting to, is one questioning your flaky (unspecified and unsubstantiated) claims about increased activity in those areas post-Brexit.
4. 'Poke my nose in'? To what exactly? YOUR debate? Do you have a list of who is allowed to contribute?

I try not to stoop to base level, but you really do come across as a bit of an arrogant cock.

When it comes to arrogance, you have no betters. The 'EU' grants are not EU money,it's ours given back to us.Apart from fines and some members contributions,it neither has nor creates money. Not long now till we see who is right and who is wrong.

So how and where are the government going to redistribute all this money we are now saving? What's the plan?

Forgive me as I'm pages behind on this thread as I'm currently sunning myself in Cyprus BUT why does NSC not being HTTPS prevent you from posting links or indeed put you at risk ?

I have been telling the ignorant on here for some time that the site isn't secure. If they want to post links, that is up to them-my internet security advises not to.

Not using a pathetic phrase like remoaner.
There are 55 thousand posts on this thread, and when I pop along and read some every now and then, I generally see people who were against Brexit before the vote, moaning about Brexit since the vote. And everyone who isn't against Brexit is labelled a thick idiot, and faces patronising post after patronising post. Within the context of the thread, calling a few people on a video remoaners seems fair to me.

Ask again when we have left, and the Government has a new leader.I dare say Corbin would find a handy drain to pour it in!

There are huge numbers of childish posts on both sides - mostly why I leave this thread alone, the level of debate is through the floor.

I just thought you were rational, level-headed and above all that. Oh well.
