If you repeat this enough times you might even be able to convince yourself!

GroB - 7 goals, 8 assists
Zaha - 9 goals, 3 assists.

Perhaps not far more effective, but yes, more effective. Sorry, initially I did a bit of a Palace fan thing and overemphasised.

I searched "best players of the 17-18 season". What was your Google search exactly? Just so I can corroborate it...

If we combine our two searches, it would suggest that overall (being incredibly kind to you, given the search results that came up for me), most see Zaha as about the 5th or 6th best player outside the top 6 clubs.

I searched for "best players outside top 6" because, you know, that was the question being asked.

The first result has Zaha as 3rd best, the second result has Zaha at 1st, the third result has Zaha at 1st, etc.

I'm happy for Wilf to take the title, if he wants it.

"Best player to not be playing for a top 6 side" - every kid's dream right there.

Agreed.

I also think its something Wilf is likely to be justly proud of, and something that all Palace fans ought to keep reminding him of.

No it wasn't. You asked who was ahead of Mahrez and Zaha last season. You were wrong. Now do the search again properly.

As said, taking both our results into account - mine being the more accurate to, you know, the question being asked - Zaha sits around 5th or 6th. A very good mid-lower Prem player. We can all agree on that.

Except for the fact that Zaha played significantly fewer minutes due to missing 9 games with injury. Fouls on Zaha also lead to Palace being awarded 4 penalties, none of which he took. I seem to recall Gross taking a penalty towards the end of the season?

I was a residential Social Worker working in a children's home.

The kids would occasionally get into bitter rows arguing that their own parents were better than the other kids parents.

I can't for the life of me think why that memory has returned to me. :lolol:

I'd give up if I were you. You're making a proper fool of yourself.

Every single one of those articles were from last season. The articles were all focused on one question: "who is the best player outside the top 6 of the Premier League".

You're wrong, and now you're bizarrely attempting to double down on your wrongness.

Regardless, your inability to use Google does not change the fact that Zaha is an utterly sensational player and that if Palace can persuade him to forgo Champions League football for just one more season then we'll have done very well indeed.

Unlike a Palace fan to bring up Zaha's diving but yes, good point. He's not only not as good as you make out, he's a cheat.

Hahahahahahaa

I love you so much. Please don't ever change. Get caught out being categorically wrong and just ignores it. Priceless. I can bring up your own quote (you f***ing moron) if you really need me to. Just accept it and let go. It's OK. Zaha is very good. It's OK.

He's the best player ever to play for either of our clubs. When he leaves it'll be utterly tragic, but at least I'll have that :)

Please do. I've looked back through the thread and I simply can't see it.

Vicente is without doubt that player... But carry on.
