[Politics] Cambridge Analytica were involved in a pro Brexit campaign

It'll be interesting to see if these are picked up and examined. I suspect these are fallacious reactive claims, but am open to being proved wrong on this suspicion.
What you don't seem to understand is that Cadwalladr has been investigating this for over a year, and has got on board over a dozen whistleblowers, various media companies, the Electoral Commission and the Information Officer. This seems like a shallow, reactive attempt to diffuse the story from a particularly suspect source of news.

Let's see, first if anything comes off that link I posted and secondly if there is a second ref.

I don't think that all remainers are automatically calling for a second referendum and I recognise the difficulty of assessing how much impact any illegal activity had on the final result. However if you do nothing in response to proven examples of breaches of rules you are effectively saying that the only real rule that exists is not being caught before the vote takes place as you will be in the clear afterwards. That isn't a great precedent to set for any of us.

This news however has caused me to doubt that opposition and re-classify it as "Ugh, this feels kind of unfair now, maybe we should do it again".

It's not so much, to me, an extension of the battle between Remain vs Leave but a potential attack on democracy itself.

This news however has caused me to doubt that opposition and re-classify it as "Ugh, this feels kind of unfair now, maybe we should do it again".

It's not so much, to me, an extension of the battle between Remain vs Leave but a potential attack on democracy itself.

This suggestion is going to upset some of our more fervent Brexiteer posters, but I just wonder if, this scandal could offer an escape route for Mrs May. We all know she campaigned to Remain and that whatever she trots out these days, she has no appetite for the path she feels bound to follow. She also knows that suggesting a second referendum solely on the basis of 'it was really close, let's have another go' would have caused huge outcry from the Leave side of the fence. Now there is POTENTIALLY a new reason to consider going back to the nation.

Agree with this. C4 News is streets ahead of anything else on the television. Newsnight has its moments, but I'm usually tucked up in bed by the time it comes on these days.

1. This is a thread, about alleged illegality, in the funding of the leave campaign.
2. You posted, in classic #whataboutism that the government spent more, on their pro-remain leaflets.
3. I asked you what laws that had broken - to point out that your deflection was an irrelevance to the actual POINT of this discussion.

I would think the investigation has been going on even longer. Point of order though, you've quoted something I just edited. Cambridge Analytica have, strictly speaking, challenged it but have not won and it's still up on line.
