Is it not right that the government should look for the best VFM deal when spending our money and £50m undercutting by the French is some saving.

Once you factor in the returns to the country in terms of corporation tax, income tax, national insurance, VAT on spending etc, the net difference is much less.

Oh come on, for once in this debate let's face a little fact or two! Most 'brexiters' [sic] are quite happy. All the 'crying' since the referendum has been almost exclusively from remainers who feel their whole world has been shattered by people unworthy of holding a different opinion to theirs!

That's true, the Leaver brigade will have the decades to come to realise how massively they have set the country back...

Would you prefer passports are made in

A/ Britain using and securing British jobs
B/ Europe to the detriment of British jobs

I bet you are B like the other remoaners

You don't get it, do you? Tory party agree to blue passports to appease Brexiters, notably Farrage who went on and on about it. Then they undercut British workers by handing the contract to foreigners. It is beyond parody.

Pretty much spot on as most liberals are anti British and they hold back this country from actually moving forwards....Once a proud strong nation that was looked upon is now a fragile laughing stock due to liberalism.

We need leadership and backbone rather than politicians that do as they're told to please the media and liberal nerds.

Huzzah!

Why are we waiting?

Let’s get the Navy sent out today!

Those colonies will regret the day they ever broke away!

Aren't the passports going to be produced in this country (Fareham) so they will employ people that will pay income tax NI etc etc.

We were once a proud strong nation when we went around invading overseas territories, colonising them and then exploiting them. Can't do that anymore, this is the 21st Century.

I'd say a fair few Brexiteers on here are anti British and wouldn't have too much issue fracturing the Union to get the idealogical Brexit they desire

As a Remainer may I state for the record that of course my answer would be A. Surely even the most blinkered Leaver must see the irony of your beloved post EU blue passports being printed in France?

I would prefer the contract resulted in security for British jobs, it didnt, it was open under EU regulations and goes abroad. Its a shame but we cant complain about EU rules that allow this whilst we are still in the EU

I would love you to show me the EU regulations that state you can't choose the supplier you want.

I hope the Daily Mail etc will be equally OUTRAGED about De La Rue currently producing passports for 40 countries.

This is a BETRAYAL of these counties people.

I'm sure if you are really interested, instead of trying to be sarcastic, you could wallow your way through the regulations in a week or so.

You're right, bloody mass immigration. Started with the bloody Romans I believe!
I blame all those Huguenot refugees. Letting that lot in was an epic failure.
