As I said previously, has Wood slept with Calde's wife or something? I just don't understand how disliked he is on here, he is far superior to Murray, Hemed and Baldock.

Wycombe's Paul Hayes and Garry Thompson both scored against Spurs last year - does that mean we should have signed them?

The sad reality is, Paul Hayes would probably be no worse than what we have right now. He does play upfront.

No thanks. I've been banging on for months, years in fact, we should have signed him. The fact he was the best striker in the championship was reason enough, today is just further proof.
Add in the fact we have the worst strike force the premier league has seen, I think I'm fully vindicated in saying we should have signed him ahead of a tinpot outfit like Burnley, who in fairness to them do know a good striker (Wood, Barnes, Vokes) unlike most on here.

I don't know how far we went with the deal. But I suspect wood didn't need to move to go to Burnley. Burnley are also an established premier league side.

Have you ever considered that he may have never wanted to join us after his last experience here?
Because he probably has a beautiful 6 bed converted farm house with home cinema, solarium, indoor poor and cart house parking for 5 cars in the Yorkshire dales and could transfer to Burnley and earn loads more money without moving and disrupting his home life. No brainer.

I'm pretty sure this summer hasn't been the 1st time we've tried to sign Wood. Didn't Wood actually admit to not enjoying his time with us? Does anyone remember Oatway, on the mic, mentioning something about Chris Wood being shit when we were doing the trophy parade back in 2011? I think everyone laughed as well. Poyet then went on to sing 'we are feeing brilliant'.
