It was just a cheap shot at deriding the EU, whilst having a snub at business here.

The fact is if this isn't a business first Brexit we're pretty much all screwed, in the end I think it will be.

Far better to short change a few hardliners than send the whole country into chaos

Not a cheap shot, but I am on the side of trade unions against exploitation by Governments in the pocket of global ruthless capitalist businesses. Your response to EU exploitation of the poor shows whose side I am on and whose side you are on you shithouse Tory shill.

Mouhamet Lamine Ndiaye, a campaigner with Oxfam said:

"Our analysis shows that these deals (with the EU) have strayed far from the development template they were supposed to follow. The cost will be enormous: annual losses from tariff cuts of €230 million for Africa alone, and a further €9bn for compliance for all the countries involved.

"Not to mention the loss of independent trade policy, badly needed to promote development and protect livelihoods," he added.

Front page of today's daily mail is ace. Complaining about long queues at borders - you won so suck it up petal. We have not left yet either. Just wait for the fun at Dover and Calais when all goods need to go through customs when we take the no deal option. Keep those heads buried in the sand folks.

They will be agreed and overseen by our democratically elected government, and under the scrutiny of the British parliament.

If you think we have the same transparency and accountability with how the EU conducts its trade deals you are delusional.

I don't think that, but Uganda is a sovereign country too for all the good it does them dealing with the EU.

Same with the Express, 2 weeks ago they were bragging how Brits we snubbing Europe for places further afield. Yep, a little introduction to a post Brexit world. Still who wants to go abroad anyway

Britain’s economy will surge back to life in the next six months following its slow start this year, a leading forecaster has predicted, prompting the Bank of England to raise interest rates next spring – more than a year earlier than its previous projection.

The National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) said a boom in exports after the fall in the pound and a return to bumper wage rises next year would be enough to increase GDP growth to almost 2% and convince the central bank to increase the cost of borrowing.

Like Dominic Cummings?

Who seems to think it could be an error to leave?

Wonderful example where you just dont listen, you take snippets, whether its from a 'no mark' blog or an individual economic indicator and roll it out as some confirmation that Remain has somehow got it right, when in actual fact up to now you have been wrong in nearly every forecast you have offered.

So here is Dominic Cummings quote:

Ex-campaign director Dominic Cummings said "lots" of things could happen to make him wish his side had lost.
But he also stressed there were more possible outcomes in which leaving would be good for the EU and the UK.

It is misrepresentation for you to think it is some qualification of Remain or that Brexit is bound to deliver a bad outcome, in fact it is the total opposite.

Your insistence that anyone who is pro-EU is a Tory-sympathiser is getting fking boring now, not least because it is total bollocks. It is not the EU at fault for failing to protect British workers, it is the fact that the electorate is constantly hoodwinked into electing useless Tory governments. Look at 2017 - their whole campaign revolved around "if you don't vote for us, you'll get that nasty Jeremy Corbyn". Their manifesto was the biggest load of nonsensical meaningless fluff I've ever seen published by a political party.

And in case you hadn't noticed, this country hasn't voted in a socialist government since the '70s - you're no friend of the trade unions if you think the solution is to pull up the drawbridge and let the British establishment carry on their merry way. It'll just be more of the same, only worse because the EU won't be there to protect us AT ALL.

Indeed, I wonder where we'd even be if it wasn't for the fact that Blair implemented the EU social charter - some 10 years later than everyone else, owing to the fact that the Tories couldn't bear to implement a laughably small minimum wage of about £4.50 an hour.

Well hopefully its not fakenews as you have implied. If this is going to happen we business needs a lot more clarity than we have right now.

I notice we are close to 1 year high on USD which seems positive, however think its more US weakness and they are in more chaos than us

British manufacturing activity strengthened in July - growing faster than France, Spain and Ireland - amid the second strongest rise in foreign demand in at least two decades, according to a respected survey.

New orders from the US, Canada, Asia and Europe helped to drive up production and employment, prompting factory bosses to continue a hiring spree.

How is the weakest growth since 2012, a ballooning current-account deficit and falling real wages thanks to higher inflation indicate a 'surge back to life' ???

It also means British manufacturing grew at a faster pace than France, Ireland and Spain.

However, eurozone growth figures on Tuesday showed the 19-nation bloc expanded at 0.6pc in the second quarter - twice the pace of the UK.

If our manufacturing wasn't doing well now with the favourable ex/rate I'd be really worried. Problem is its only 20% of our economy, we ain't Germany.

Have travelled through La Rochelle airport to Brum today with no problems whatsoever. No problems with Nantes to Southampton either.Lots of pre-recorded messages about long delays because of new EU regulations, but it's a load of cobblers. If the Schengen signatories want outsiders to stop using their major airports,so what?Just confirms my opinions on the EU-bunch of stupid racists who will go the way of the dinosaur!:lolol:

You've got to admire the EU coming up with the cunning plan of imposing new checks on non-Schengen area country citizens because of all the terrorist related security concerns when the vast majority of recent terrorist attacks are either carried out by EU citizens in the Schengen area or people already living there. At least the implementation was smooth and well planned though .. as you would expect from your preferred overlords.

Indeed, though quite what the black and asian visitors, waiting for attention in their non-Schengen queue thought of it,remains to be seen!
