Another support striker ?

Does this mean Baldock is more broken than we thought ?

Would be a cracking signing. The mirror do have a mixed record, although they called Ryan signing before anyone else

Would be excellent. Still need a pacey forward and midfield beast on top though

After some of the crap names like Long,Huddlestone,Wells etc being banded about this one gets my approval. Would be a great signing

But where is the space in the 25 unless Baldock fails to make it ?

We already have 21 + Top Striker + Main Midfielder + 9th defender + 3rd goalie as it stands without another Baldock.

A lightweight forward, but when I've seen him playing for Wales he's looked quite lively, reasonably quick and tricky. He's got time on his side at 23 and I think he'd add something different.

I can see us starting a lot of games with one up front...and then three in the middle with one slightly more forward ...then wouldn't players like Brown/Lawrence fit that bill.....leaving Murray/Hemed to fight out that one... if you add'top' striker....cant see that happening

The only way I can see the numbers working is if the 9th defender is U21, ie Gomez or similar, or if Baldock is out for the first half of the season and doesn't make the squad.

Based on the list I've been using to track he would fill one of 5 remaining gaps (6 if goldson goes on loan)
1. Ryan
2. Maenpaa
3. New gk
4. Bruno
5. Rosenior
6. Dunk
7. Duffy
8. Hunemeir
9. Goldson or new CB
10. Suttner
11. Bong
12. New utility defender - Liverpool U21
13. Stephens
14. New CM
15. Kayal
16. Sidwell
17. Gross
18. Knockaert
19. Murphy
20. March
21. Skalak
22. New winger/one of 3 behind target man - Lawrence
23. Brown (u21)
24. Murray
25. Baldock
26. Hemed
27. New striker

I thought Gross would play the No.10 role. Saw him at Crawley and was very impressed.

That works, but it does mean the defender must be U21.

Intriguing.....what we do know is that Baldock is not a quick healer ..poor chap must be cursing his luck
