we have just traveled by bus to the DGH in Eastbourne (about 4/5 miles there and back) passed plenty of Lloyd posters and just two tory (bit different to the last general election tory posters plastered everywhere.

we will be voting tactically again ( sorry the Labour bloke stands no chance) so Stephen it is then

Boris down in Eastbourne eating a 99 yesterday didn't persuade you to vote Tory then ?

It's almost as if the Tories don't want to win the election; I cannot remember in the nearly 40 years I've been interested in politics such a poor campaign and a party leader who seems so inept (even including Michael Foot).
Calling the election was either a remarkable display of arrogance and over confidence or a half-arsed attempt to avoid having to deal with Brexit.

Ah, someone else who can't read.

As was pointed out a few pages back, it's a poll for how people will vote not what they think will happen.

A NSC prediction poll may be interesting however

That would be interesting, and much harder than casting my actual vote. At the time of the local elections I would have gone a May majority of 100 or so. I think that may be down to the small teens. The polls are a disaster for her but they are only polls. Young vote not coming out, shy Tories, Russia / Dacre / The Sun whipping out some last minute dirt on Corbyn should get Theresa home but nowhere near as comfortably as she should have been. Damaged goods going in to any Brexit negotiations, and therefore lacking strength and stability

Similar in Hastings, with plenty of Labour posters this time and very few Tory, when in 2015 there were Tory posters plastered everywhere.

I've said exactly the same thing. It feels like she is throwing in the towel.

Quite something that given this disastrous Tory campaign, May is still the better side of 1/4 to be the next Prime Minister and the Tories are 1/10 to have the most seats.

Just think what could have happened if Labour had sorted themselves out before this election.

I agree.
As a Tory voter, I cannot believe how totally inept their campaign is. Well, actually, there hasn't been a campaign.
Mrs. May is quite useless on the telly and it makes you realise how damn' good a performer David Cameron was.
Those backroom gits, Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill should be sacked, whether or not the Tories win.
Heaven help us if Corbyn et al get in. Despite the Tories ineffective shite of a campaign, the thought of a Corbyn Government is truly worrying.
I just hope the British public come to their senses.

General Election - New poll added 01/06/17

Remember Labour supporters are very passionate about their party and what they stand for, and good on them I say, in my street of say 59 houses there are two Labour posters, the rest aren't displaying anything, so are you hoping the other 57 are also voting Labour or do you think they might be typical Tories who silently get on with it? I should also say that if JC does get in you won't here too much wining from them either!

This, I'm very close to not giving Kristy Adams my vote, I certainly will not vote for Flem or Peter Kyle!

I wasn't saying it was indicative of anything in regards to the results in either constituency or nationally, it was merely a comment and observation that the same thing in Hastings compared to 2015 with the Tories, seems to be occurring as is happening in Eastbourne apparently with The Lib Dems, purely on posters displayed - nothing else.

Anyone offering odds on May resigning after the election citing ill health or similar?

Decent shout.
I remember some talk of that being the reason for the unscheduled announcement (of the GE).

Would be the fourth leader in a row to enter number 10 without winning a GE majority.

It certainly has been a strange old week in politics. Maybe the Russians are influencing our election. If they are, they are good. Really good...

pointed out earlier the lack of visibility of anyone from Conservative front bench... that is odd isnt it? now its mentioned, been the barest minimum appearances on TV or in papers and usual politicians cant stay away from the media. its in their DNA to seek publicity. shirley this much hiding must be a strategy ?

Can you remember one speech or appearance by Jeremy Hunt on future plans for the NHS ?
