The more debates and facts I hear makes me think how much of a total thick as shit **** you have to be to vote tory, unless you're in the 5% then go ahead ya cretins

Bless, I suppose each new generation needs to experience the true glory of proper left wing/socialist government before their idealistic delusions are crushed. Couldn't you just holiday in Venezuela and save the country from the pain?

No, I just have a different opinion. Hope that's ok.

You certainly do have a different opinion than just about anybody bar a handful of far right nuts if you think a labour government would be anything at all resembling Venezuela.

I mean, that might be harsh and maybe you're just being hyperbolic but it's not always obvious.

It's like TM and the Tories are trolling at this point...

I'm sure they want another party to deal with Brexit as I really don't think most of the Tory front bench even want to come out!

It's definitely in the realms of tin-foil-hattery, but it's been such an abysmal campaign from them that it's not impossible to believe that there may be the tiniest kernel of truth in it.

I watched that for about 20 seconds. It's not worth anyone's time with all those jump cuts. Maybe what they're saying really is damnable, but I'm not going to trust anything that doesn't give me a full quote rather than 2 seconds of a speech taken out of context. I can make just about anyone on the planet look like a prick with this technique. Do you have any genuine political commentary comparing labour to Venezuela? No? Should i have really expected anything else? Good day.

I think the important thing is to not get divided over all this shit. The folk in America are a good example of that with the recent Clinton/trump election and like to think of us Brits as a bit more savvy and old school :)

Most in the UK want and expect the same things and want a government that is transparent, fair and represent the society it serves. (Not themselves and their corporate interests)

My father-in-law said something similar yesterday. He thinks May doesn't want to deal with Brexit and is doing her best to lose the election deliberately.

YouGov consistently shows Labour support in the most positive light. Which is probably why so many lefties on here keep highlighting their findings. Possible reasons for this pro Labour showing include the usual over-representation of Labour voters in samples .. or a sophisticated new modelling that is pretty accurate .. or Russia hacking/interference.

They will either be proved right in a weeks time or yet another round of pollster soul searching will be needed. (Option 2)
Keep taking the tablets. They aren't working yet.

General Election - New poll added 01/06/17

NSC always makes me smile when it comes to politics - I can't ever remember a political poll that the majority in NSC have got right.

Up The Revolution - ......... In The People's Republic of Hanover!

If The Tories don't win next Thursday by at least 100 seats the social network society will go into to meltdown [emoji23]All the usual suspects on here will suggest its still a victory for Corbyn, we'll have others saying 60% of the country didn't want May, time to change to PR, I'm so pleased I live in Pavilion so I can have a nice fluffy progressive Green MP, can we have a people's republic of Brighton, it's like turkeys voting for Christmas, anyone who votes conservative must be thick blah blah then no doubt we will have riots up in London and around the UK and all of this leading up to Brexit negs, I almost want that stupid old man to win and sit back and watch him Abbott, McDonald and the rest of that motley crew **** it up!

Why is it not possible?
I will tell you what is not possible: it is not possible for anyone to here to show exactly how it is not possible. Where are your models and numbers? You can't just make up a random assumption it won't work out of thin air. It makes you look stupid.
Show me the working.

Life, experience and history have shown us that time after time Labour cannot be trusted to balance the books. Politics is about trust, and Labour have wasted the electorate's evey time it have been offered. It is up to Labour to provide the figures to win that trust once more, not the conservative (with a small c, if you actually understand the difference) man in the street to to offer it without fear on the whim of a populist socialist.

The IFS have told us that Labour figures do not add up, that you cannot afford all of the promised funding from the announced rises in taxation. In media interviews Abbott has shown that she is innumerate and JC had not costed a major part of his welfare plans. That is in planned media appearances, what are they like on the rest of their plans FFS?

Anyway, I have far more important things to attend to today. If, a very big if, JC were to get in, I will be very relieved not to be here to suffer the consequences.
