It's been a footballing ambition to get to Barnsley.

I think I've been to between 75 and 80 grounds but this one always eludes me. It used to be early in the season when I was playing cricket- or just plainly when I couldn't justify forking out.

In the event of no Act of God I shall be joining the merry throng on Saturday. I love Yorkshire and haven't been since Huddersfield Town in 2014.

Looking forward to it.

Me and my lad will be up there and supporting the lads whatever the score is
Can't beat an away day for standing up for 90 mins, a good few beers pre match and a good sing song
And hopefully 3 points

+4 more going ... managed to wangle a rare Albion away trip for the family whilst we're visiting son #1 at uni. :albion2:

Can't wait....

Does anybody know if it's an easy walk from the station to the away end at Oakwell please? My arthritic knees can't be doing with too much distance or steep hills

About 5-10 minutes, mostly flat.

It is a relatively flat walk, until you turn off the main road. Taxis are cheap and plentiful. The taxi rank is a few minutes walk from the interchange, but it is a flat walk. If you are walking, make sure you carry on down Pontefract Road before turning left, passed the pub. If you turn left too soon you will have an uphill walk
