Wish I had:
-Xtc

Wished I hadn't:
-the Cure, love them up to mid 80s, but didn't enjoy seeing them at the Centre(85/86), think it was Head on the door tour. Fact I can't recall probably says it all...

Very glad I did:
-Julian Cope, Hammersmith Palais (84)

Glad I did:
-Bowie, Milton Keynes Bowl(90)
-Prince, Wembley Arena(90) even though I was ever so slightly distracted with a certain England v Germany semi final!

When did you see Buzzcocks. I saw them for first time last year and sort of wish I never bothered. Two days later find they are headlining wettest next year, for which I have tickets.

I was a huge Buzzcocks fan back in the day. Some of the best 3 minute pop songs ever. Never got to see them at that time for various reasons. Haven't bothered seeing them since the reform. All their best songs are about the euphoria/naivety of being a teenager - couldn't bear to see them being performed by fat old men.

Actually, put me down as a "regret" for Buzzcocks.

I've mentioned before that XTC were my favourite band at the time. Saw them at every opportunity and they never disappointed, especially during the famous Top Rank gig when the power cut and they played "unplugged". Impossible to believe that Andy Partridge was crippled by stagefright.

Always regretted not seeing the Clash.

Of the few bands that I wish I hadn't seen, the Sawdoctors stand out. I was never a fan, but a friend assured me they were very much a live band. I gave them 20 minutes before I'd had enough, luckily it was a festival so other options were available.

Frank Sinatra and Wet Wet Wet.

Was too young to see The Chairman of the Board in action in his prime, went to see Marti Pillock and his band on a double date in early 1990, and as an earlier poster said, hit the bar at The Centre about three songs in.

So so so jealous!! I started loving/obsessing about Xtc from 1982, the same year they stopped playing live! I was 14 at the time, and only started seeing bands a year later. Gutting, but hey-ho. There were plenty of great studio albums to enjoy instead :) There'll be no more of course..

Mmmm, fat old men about nails it. You judge well, don't be tempted. Would also have loved to see them back in the day.

Saw them at the New Regent supporting the Banshees in, um, 78. They were great. The Banshees were not as the PA failed and we had a 20 minute Kenny Morris drum solo to comsole ourselves with . . .

This is Pop

Always regretted not seeing the Clash..

Top Rank, with Pete Townshend up on stage with them.

Mind You, amazing support by Scritti Politti ("Let's make one up"). Love the Green :rave:

I wished I had seen the James Brown Revue in his heyday.
I didn't stay very long when My Bloody Valentine came on at Fuji Rock!

Never saw Pink Floyd - would have loved to have seen them doing their warm ups to DSOTM back in '72. Also Soft Machine with Robert Wyatt and Hawkwind with Lemmy, I was clearly born too late!
