Just watched - I love it when he says "we are blue blood" and "get off our drive" great TV as the opening thread indicated. Very amusing.

Worthing
Am I the only one to see something a bit iffy in all this?

First, Buck house needs a £379 million update, and the peasants get a bit shirty about it, "Make the Royals pay,"hey shout. Then, within a week, the last person in the realm that you would expect to have Royal blood is found to be a bona fire descendant of Edward 3. He must also be quite well minted as well, so, I'm now expecting,anyone who considers themselves on a higher social standing than Danny Dyer to be hit with a massive bill for the renovations of said Palace, under the pretext that they must also be Royal and thus must have some responsibility for the builders bill.

Now that is a conspiracy theory.

Brillant what a boost to the family tree sites and research groups.
Danny and his princess :facepalm::drink:

Really enjoyed the programme. Only problem for us plebs is that it would cost a mortgage to trace our ancestors like that. Different thing if BBC are funding this.
However, I have had some luck. Some relatives who share the same great grandfather as me have traced us back to 1752. Sadly can't go any further as parish records not been kept.
My family tree did throw up some amazing stuff though. For instance my dad, on his fathers side, had eight aunts and uncles but I only thought he had just one.

If it was 'after that', that meant no offspring.

Taking offspring out of the equation if you were travelling backwards in time in a Doctor Who Tardis or the equivilent of and it was like a train track and each generation was a station then you would say ''after'' I would have thought.

BUT if I am honest I don't really know what would be grammatically correct

Does he make up some of the cockney rhyming slang? I've never heard of a photo referred to as a smudge.

I don't know about Edward III, but I've always thought of Danny Dyer as a bit of a Richard III.

Don't think it's rhyming slang , but I've heard photos being called smudges plenty of times.
