It's the wages / money spent ratio to points hats the alarming thing here. Weren't they 10th in Europe or something in that list the other day? Shocking return - and possibly spending beyond means - that's the worry for them. Especially as a lot of fans see an administration from over spending as cheating these days and consider anything after that point irrelevant.

Don't think anybody in the Premier League spends beyond their means now. The rewards even for failure are so great.

Depends on contracts and what relegation clauses they have. No current examples as TV money gone up but there's a few others like Pompey / Saints etc who probably did.

Not so easy to take out any mortgages on a ground you don't actually own though.

Thanks to Uncle Tony...

Is that not the same with Selhurst, which is owned by the fab four, when they themselves purchased the ground from Lloyds in 2010? I can't see the difference there Danny.

I can see one difference.

Tony is backing up his investment with more of his own cash.
While palace, even with untold riches, have needed to go cap in hand to the bank, again.

Piss off Nigel. I'm just laughing at your shithouse club. Shit on every level no matter how much money you get or spend. Classless, pathetic and with the perfect manager as you are the laughing stock of English football. And always will be.

Crystal Palace, pound for pound the worst team in England. It's really very funny.

Penny for penny surely? This is Palace 2010 we're talking about.

Is that the same Bank that have an embarrassment clause on the sale of Selhurst Park?

That embarrassment clause on the ground has been sorted, it's no longer applicable.
How's your syrup ?

Really? Sticking a bunch of cladding on the outside, painting the bit that looks like a derelict shed, and bleaching fifty years of skidmarks out of the gents' toilets doesn't quite remove the embarrassment factor in my book.

Why are you hanging around the gents Edna ?

Seruous question. Do Crystal Palace FC now actually own the ground or do they still pay a rent to another section of Crystal Palace? as was the case with Southampton and I believe we do.
