Agree with BG had Ritchie in his pocket second half vastly improved.

Newcastle attacked down the right which meant Bong was under pressure for almost the whole game. This is one of the reasons why I thought we should have swopped our wingers earlier on. Pressure caused Bong to make about three mistakes or so (too many) and could not find Skalak other than being heavily marked. Hayden played on the right side for Newcastle and may well have outplayed Kayal which did not help. Bong did not play well but I think this was actually compounded by Sidwell not up to standard on the day and Skalak getting no space. Bong improved as the game went on which was good.

Brighton / Hove actually
I like Hughton's intentions to have strength in depth at the back and the competition for places. It's easier to manage fitness, fatigue, injuries, form and suspensions. With Goldson and Hune now working on their fitness, and Rosenior hopefully not too serious, getting Seb in, we look fairly solid for the season ahead being able to cover most eventualities.

A bit of competition for Bong, which is a good thing. I hope we can strike a deal.

My West Brom mate says he's quality and just not been given a chance by Tiny Penis.

Seem to remember their fans speaking highly of him when we were linked last year...

Baggies fans have gone from being bemused at Pulis leaving him out of the squad and persisting with a right footed left back to asking "who?"

Think i would much rather trust Pulis over thickle football fans

Trusting Pulis is one thing. Having him manage your football team entirely another.
The man strangles the last inch of flair out of his players and plays a team of robots. Gets results (or at least gets just enough points) but makes football lovers weep.
