To be honest, most tattoos look shit on most people because so many people have them now and so many of them are totally unoriginal.
Most people don't have tattoos. So that's original is it?

We're getting to a stage where it's more controversial not to have tattoos for young people.
So those who aren't tattooed are just trying to be cool are they. Tw@s.

Each to their own. I just think tattoos look pretty shite after a few years when they are faded, and the person wearing them gets old and saggy, male or female !! Saw plenty of both examples in Benidorm a couple of weeks ago. Did feel in the minority not having any, especially as a Brit, we seem more obsessed with inking ourselves than other Europeans.

Let me guess, you are over 50 years old

It has nothing to do with age, it is all about taste.
I don't like tattoos in general on anyone, unless you are from and African, Hawaiian or Maouri tribe etc. where it has significance.
I think it's a bit of a 'look at me ' syndrome, who knows.
It is funny that recent statistics show that people getting tattoos between the ages of 20 to 25 has gone up by 47%.
Correspondingly, the statistics for people between the age of 45 to 55 getting tattoos removed has gone up by 45%.
So, a sell by date of about 20 or so years, funny what fashion makes people do to feel accepted.
I do believe in live and let live and this is just my opinion, you can do what you like and will probably live to regret it, regardless of the bravado that comes with youth.

What did you think of punk in the late 70s? Earings, coloured hair, ripped jeans......yes, the world was coming to an end!!
Move on and let people have the freedom to express themselves

Quite different, as all the afforementioned could be remedied quite quickly, when fashion changed.
Tattoos are not T shirts to be changed when not in vogue anymore, I haven't met one person in my age group with tats that hasn't had regrets.
I'm not saying that people without regrets are not out there, it's just that I haven't met any.

(PUT ON NASELY ACCENT) I errr.. .like things but I don't like other things, I am better than you and have a pretty consived opinion based on old fadhioned morality which it different from yours therefore I am right and everyone is wrong!!!!

As far as I can see you are the only one stating that one person is any better than anyone else.
So to spell it out for you;-
Some people like tatts, some people don't, the people who don't like the tatts do not dislike or think that they are any better than the people who have tatts, they just don't like tatts.
There you go.

Personally I hate tattoos on women, what on earth makes a girl want to get her arms, legs, or chest covered in tattoos?

for me its a big turn off, a single tattoo might look OK but the ones I have seen recently look like a 30 year merchant seaman veteran ( sorry Smudge)

Ladies your bodies are good enough without tattoos ....dont do it..

Agree, i think they look horrible. How many female lawyers, doctors etc do you see covered in tattoos? I never have. There is deff a link to your education level in my opinion

I'm not a fan. In my opinion tattoos make women less attractive. Similarly I'm sure that me being overweight and unshaven makes me less attractive to women. In both cases it's personal choice of what we do to our bodies; they like to put ink on theirs', I like to put beer and cake into mine.
I make no judgement about tats, whether socio-economically or intellectually (one of the cleverest blokes I know is covered in them), I just don't care for them.

I'm just the right side of 50 and I rather like tattoos on women. I find them quite sexy. Mrs W has one on her backside and it still looks good ( and no, I'm not posting a picture ! ). What I don't like is the HUGE ones like sleeves but I think they look as bad on men as they do women.

Excellent. We've not done this one for a while.

Who wants to start a teacher bashing and the best curry in Brighton thread?

Belgians have to have the names of their offspring and dated of birth tattooed. Law I assume

It's an age thing I guess as I am over 50

I have seen some fantastic tattoos on women real works of art these have cost thousands of pounds the sums most individuals can not afford and as such oftern the advise from the tattooist and the quality of the tattoo is not the best and I fear will resemble old sailors arms in the years to come
