Amex celebration pre Notts F game (flags for all!)

Sorry mate no disrespect but remember it's a Friday, a working day.
Some people won't be able to finish work early to get to the P&R sites or find a parking space in places like Lewes.
It's 2 buses and an estimated 1 1/2 hour trip from Newhaven to the Amex, remember some people don't drive.

Now is not the time and place to get on the back of any fellow BHA fan that will have problems making this REARRANGED FOR SKY MATCH.

Let's slag off Southen Rail and Sky, but not fellow fans

We'll have 3 spare car seats from Newhaven via the Racecourse P&R, if anyone wants to pm me.

Seems a daft night to do this, to be frank. A lot of people will be working hard to simply get to the ground for kick off, let alone by 7.15 pm. And some won't make the game because it's too bloody difficult.

That's a very kind offer TB, many thanks but I had a phone call earlier from a friend and fellow fan offering a lift, usually I go with 3 other members of my family, 2 can't make Friday but one of my lads is working until 7.30 he would usually jump straight on the train to Falmer and miss the start of the match, no chance this week.
I do drive but I would have to finish work early and then empty my van out as I wouldn't be happy leaving it parked up for the evening with tools etc in the back.
Thanks again.

No Sheebo, I can't make it because of the trains and I can't be the only one. Can't leave home till late as have to put baby to bed. Can't then get to the amex in time without a train. If it was easy then I would as I'm desperate to go.

Well I know it's not possible for some - no offence meant lads. As I know you both in real life & know you're both lifelong fans I appreciate it's painful - and yes Southern are ***** - was more for the 'I may not bother as it'll be a ball ache' fans my opinion

There are going to be loads of fans missing ko as they assume there will be trains, just look at this thread
That's true. Comments like on this thread are on the official BHA Facebook page threads as well. People will naturally assume that since we have been running railways for about 200 years, that if there isn't a strike, then there will, naturally, be a service.

No worries mate.
I'm just a bit fed up with the train situation, I hate missing home matches.
But I'm also really fed up with Sky moving games to a Friday, the Forest game would have been easier to get to if it was Saturday.
And tonight I come in from work to read the Villa game is moved. :censored:

Those first home matches at the Amex were great, Saturday 3PM kick off and nice weather, I would be waving a flag if the club announced no more Friday evening matches. :)

Well hopefully I can now make it Friday without spending 3 hours round trip on the bus.

Gonna be a poor celebration - lucky to have 5k in seats by 7.15. Most will be sat on the A27 somewhere at that time

Shame it's not a Saturday 3pm KO and with no rail issues

Surprised Club did not negotiate change with Sky in view of the exceptional travel issues.
Club must be losing the tv money to cover the extra transport facilities.
Does not look good for Sky for the game to be played in empty stadium

Southern Rail have basically removed the concept of Sussex having a rail network.

Not fit for purpose.
