His Agent has probably been contacted and asked about his availability for the Hull job and he is using that as leverage to force the Board's hand in the transfer market

That's a very good shout. Of course if he goes to Hull the entire deal could be off, he might not need him there. OR, he goes to Hull and we get even more from him if their owners are splashing the cash. Either way you can see how complex the market is when you look a little closer.

Why would he want to go to Hull with 13 fit players, the club having no intention of spending big and the club is up for sale? Their manager has decided he can't work like that and left.

I'd suggest non starter on that theory :shrug:

The owners of Burnley will call that bluff I'm sure.

Both apparently......but take your pick - Charlie Adam, Ashley Westwood, Lee Chung-Yong, Alex Pritchard, Stephens & Pritchard have all been strongly linked.

NONE signed.

Good job for Burnley's owners that Moyes accepted Sunderland job otherwise they'd have been looking for a new manager as well as some new players.

It's amazing that we are weaker now than at the end of last season when we had Barton & Matty Taylor....all it needs now is for Keane to be sold to Leicester.???

Both apparently......but take your pick - Charlie Adam, Ashley Westwood, Lee Chung-Yong, Alex Pritchard, Stephens & Pritchard have all been strongly linked. I'm also pretty certain Alan Judge would have been a Burnley player now if he hadn't broken a leg. I hope we go back for him when he is fit again.

But nonee of the above have signed.

It's a strange one isn't it - even by normal Premier League standards, this summer has just been absolutely MENTAL in terms of transfers and cash paid.

Why would Pritchard, Hendricks or Stephens want to up sticks and move for 1 season in the Premier when by either staying with their existing club or signing for one of the two would mean being at a club that when promoted will seek to consolidate their position and stay there rather than be a yo yo team?

No idea about the other 2 but Stephens is northern lad. Burnley bigger club.

Yo yo much better on CV when retired than serial bottlers.

Oh and most importantly ...... money and increased profile.

Loads of reasons

Is you're question "why would they chose to play for a team in currently in PREM who may well stay up......when they could play for a club NOT in the prem who might not get there at all"

That's IS a toughy.

Very short term thinking IMHO.

Looking at the long term I think both Brighton and Derby are a better bet for Premier and consolidation.
