Now Murray's back, how do you feel ?

I just wondered how you, as a BHA fan, felt about CPFC being less than 12 minutes away from European football, an FA Cup victory, bragging rights possibly forever and all of it against a team playing with ten men, 12 minutes to hold on is all there were. Please enlighten me as to your thoughts on this matter.

Not convinced he`s the man we need...Bobby Z 34 last season,Murray only two years younger,he will need to work very hard on his fitness.

Zamora did fairly well for us last season but was shot well before he made his long awaited return. Murray is a different proposition.

Pretty pleased. Never a creature of burning pace, so as long as time hasn't taken away his body's ability to float he should be quite an asset at both ends of the field.

I couldn't give a **** if he played for Palace. He's quality and he'll be great in the Championship.

We should never have let him go.

He perfectly suited Poyet's system and his contract was up. Instead of giving him the moderate and fair pay rise he deserved, we decided not to. That opened the door for someone else to offer him a pay rise and sign him for free; it just happened to be Palace.

Murray left and we spunked £2.5m on CMS who didn't suit the system at all. Gus got a lot of things right but that situation was one he really ballsed up.

This is what I never understood about Murray leaving. Poyet had a very definite system involving slow and careful build up which needed a physical presence up front but he let our top scorer (who perfectly fitted that description) leave on a free and spent loads on a player who needed a completely different system to be effective while sticking with his original way of playing. It just seems a really odd decision.

I have very mixed feelings.

At his best he is the sort of player we need.

I can't forget that he went on a free to Palace, though I'm willing to accept that Poyet was involved and may have been responsible

I was never sure how well he played for the team and whether he could be an unsettling influence.

I also can't forget that he's now 32 and has had a bad knee injury since he played at his best. His recent form has been quite poor. Maybe he wasn't given the chances but....

Overall I'm on the fence. We certainly won't get back the player who left us. I hope we will get a different sort of striker who can add some options to our attack. Success for me would be scoring more than 8 goals, staying fit to the end of the season and making a difference in a few key games.

It's a day I never thought would come. Brilliant news!!! I was gutted when he left us as he was fantastic.
I was then appalled at the abuse some idiots threw his way when he played for Palace against us. He didn't deserve that and he was so respectful in not celebrating his goals.
Legend, in my opinion and deserves a welcome back as one.
