Not late in the day at all... it's just that your reading and comprehension skills seem to be diluted by your bigoted preconceptions, try reading people's posts.
The point stands, EU penalises "3rd world" agricultural economies in favour of wealthy European farmers via import tariffs and CAP... pure discrimination.

It's quite clear. Vote IN and the EU will tell you how it's going to be .
There is no reform, there is no "we can make changes and influence the EU from within"

It's not a vote winner... that's why neither side chooses to air that particular point very often... but it was mentioned on question time the other week.

A German industry boss has said it would be "very, very foolish" if the EU imposes trade barriers on the UK in the event it votes to leave the EU.
Markus Kerber, the head of the influential BDI which represents German industry, said his organisation would make the case against such measures.
He said any introduction of tariffs would be "regression to times we thought we'd left behind in the 1970s".
The UK's referendum on whether to leave the EU will be held on Thursday.
"Imposing trade barriers, imposing protectionist measures between our two countries - or between the two political centres, the European Union on the one hand and the UK on the other - would be a very, very foolish thing in the 21st Century," Mr Kerber told the BBC's World Service.
"The BDI would urge politicians on both sides to come up with a trade regime that enables us to uphold and maintain the levels of trade we have, although it will become more difficult."
Mr Kerber added that any introduction of tariffs would lead to job losses in Germany and the UK.
He said a vote to leave the EU would lead to a "serious disruption" to the German-UK economic relationship, describing it "as if a relative had left the family".

You have just swallowed the leave mantra. There's no hypocrisy in working with other nations to tackle issues of trade, workers rights, justice, environmental legislation etc. Much of that is in place to put certain standards and expectations in place for big business - stops them riding rough-shod over what they might see as inconvenience. You sir, are clutching at straws.

The best way to help Markus out is by voting Remain.
Also, the BDI which Markus represents believes the EU has added value to business across the patch.
Lastly, Markus is not an elected government official. He'll therefore have little influence over elected German officials and no influence over French, Spanish, Italian etc officials.

No, I'm not dim. As I've pointed out in another post, free and fair trade are no mutually exclusive because of the EU. It's an unfounded criticism you've raised. Just as parts of the EU are designed to protect EU members, so the EU (and member states) also work to develop positive trade agreements with developing nations. Plenty of examples you'll find if you look for them.
