I can't understand a ****ing word Aitor Karanka is saying. Do you think he does that deliberately?

I don't think the current league position will be on their minds so much as the result they know they need. They'd go into that last game thinking 'win this home game and we're promoted'.

They also go in thinking "if we don't win we are in the play offs"

We were dreadful away all season :lolol:
Sure, but we were up against dreadful opposition that time.

Well, Monday is fairly important then
Not as important as it could have been. We'll either need a draw or a win against Middlesbrough. Had 'brough have won by 2 tonight, we'd have had to avoid defeat on Monday to stand any chance on the last day. Monday just got a lot less stressful.

getting promoted to the premiership is worth more ££££ than any other single sporting event in the world (i think) £100mil+?

crazy to think the humble town of Middlesbrough will play host to that event

The ex-Boro player in the studio is talking absolute nonsense. Saying after that train-wreck of a post match interview by Karanka that the Boro players will benefit from the managers calmness. WTF

Sure, but I still think it makes a psychological difference in the back of your mind, the difference between we need to catch up, vs, we need to hold our position. You are right though, it's all about a win. But I still think somewhere inside they will get a sinking feeling if they slip to third after this weekends games.

Fair play to Birmingham and to rowett who I have got a lot of respect for. Great effort and professionalism just need a result on Monday now and then it is straight into a final shootout for the premier league with Boro. This season has been nothing short of amazing

Here's an interesting scenario:

If we beat Derby and Burnley suffer a defeat or get 2 draws on their last 2, we could be promoted regardless of the result at Borough, subject to goal difference.

Boro's BEST chance now is to SACK Krankie, he is such a NEGATIVE influence and get a MOTIVATOR in for the last match. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that this week

I agree. They should do that while there's still time.
