Hoops does owe us one or two. I'm not counting that penalty at Charlton as even a man wearing a blindfold and sporting a Charlton Athletic Supporters Club scarf would have had to give that.

Given his failure to spot a large FLARE in Stockdale's penalty area last weekend, right up until the moment Bruno had to run through the clouds of red smoke to clear the ball in fact, there is some hope that his eyesight is as poor as ever, though frankly that's just as likely to go in Boro's favour as against them.

Get a pair of balls and tell her you are watching it?*

* Sorry, just being cheeky but heard this interview on seagullsplayer last weekend that drove me mad:

Interviewer: So, it is going down to the last game at Middlesbrough, will you be going to that one?
Interviewee: No, i'd love to go but the wife won't let me go to that one.

I despair, I really do.
I think that is just the equivalent of shouting "hold me back" to your mates when it looks as if you may have to get involved in something a bit nawty.

Its on the TV. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11688/10261547/birmingham-v-middlesbrough-preview

Birmingham fans seem to think it will be a striaghtforward narrow win for Boro and I cannot see any reason it will not be. Even if Boro get nervous, I think they are so much better that they will win without ever looking like drawing or losing. i.e. I would not be surprised of Brum fail even to create a decent chance.

I expect that Birmingham are already on holiday. Unlike Derby who be keen to to maintain match competiveness, the only thing Birmingham will be worried about is keeping the score down so they don't get embarassed. Our game at Birmingham seemed (from the radio) as easy as they get in the Championship.

Adam Legzdins will keep the score down, but just as likely to gift Boro a goal, just to be sporting. Will Buckley will be unemployed this summer if he fails to make the team or do something to eaaaarn his wages. Probably hardly touch the ball, and win a few fouls. Cotterill is quite dangerous as a right winger for Birmingham. Maghoma is another wide player so despite their injuries Buckley might not even start.

I was worried about our match at Birmingham as they are quite quick in midfield, appreciably so. Just the type of team to cause Derby (who are slower) trouble. But with he summer holidays already on their mind, I don't expect them to run around much at all.

Here's hoping Buckley will do something useful like win a penalty with the score at 0-1. Birmingham will then probbaly miss it.

I think the odds are too short for a Boro win that it would not even be worth putting a bet on as part of a double.

After blowing it at Fulham last season, I can't see it happening again? This time Boro won't go all out for a win if they are drawing with a minute to go.
I assume your hard on for Buckley is that you have figured out the only way to top the money you cost the club you purport to support with your hard on over a bit of scrub-land, is to make them sign a has-been on your recommendation.

Boro tipped to win 1-2

Vote for a score. I vote for what I want, not what seems likely. So I've gone for 2-1. I would like Brum to win 4-0 but even 2-1 is extending credulity a bit too far.

Paddy Power are offering 13/1 on Middlesbrough to win 3-1. If there's an early goal in the game then its a bit of value. I would be very happy to lose my fiver though.

Brummies will want to put on a show tonight for potential season ticket holders with the Villa also in the Championship next campaign.

Luckily I'm going to miss this particular Hoops shitstorm and indeed any updates at all, It's my wedding anniversary and I shall be in the sort of pub that doesn't have Sky getting on the wrong end of some Malbec and worrying a lot. Were Brum. Were loose

Can't see Brum doing anything here. Not based on what we saw against us.

I'm afraid we will just have to do this the hard way.

Throwing money away.

I agree. Longer odds than it snowing in London over the weekend.

Trying to figure out a way Birmingham can win and a bit stumped. Even a friendly own goal is off. George Friend is missing for Boro.

I can just about foresee how Boro will fail to score, so 8/13 to win is just not on. A draw might just help though.

I thought Boro would see off Ipswich easily, so what do I know. Looking at the stats and the string of missed chances, the odds are that it won't happen twice. Brum have gone from being strong play-off contenders to tailing off completely. If we can win there comfortably there is no reason why Boro can't. I expect a Boro stroll to a 2-0 or 3-0 win.

Finish in the Top 2

Before the game:

Burnley
1/16
Middlesbrough
4/11
Brighton
13/10

Bookkeepers can work how much would it cost in bets and win £42 the cost of a ticket vs Wednesday?

We won comfortably at St.Andrews? I don't remember it being like that at all
