Why do you think that? No other country in western Europe claims that - even non-EU members like Iceland, Norway and Switzerland open their borders to EU nationals.

Because one significant element of the vote for Brexit is about regaining control of our borders therefore it will be a priority when negotiating a new relationship with our European friends. In addition free movement is only a prerequisite for EU membership not for trade. Iceland,Norway and Switzerland agreed to open their borders it does not follow we would do the same Brexit is a unique situation in both size of nation and relative influence.

:lolol:

Let's not beat around the bush, Corbyn has overnight gone from a far left trotskiest to a laissez-faire loving tory! :lolol:

You might laugh,it seems real socialists are less than happy with comrade Corbyn
According to other socialists Corbyn is a traitor to the socialist cause, has capitulated his long term beliefs and has betrayed all those that voted for his leadership.

http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2016/03/24/pers-m24.html

I wonder how he justifies selling out when real socialists like The Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition and Socialistworker are campaigning for an exit.

https://socialistworker.org/2016/03/24/a-socialist-case-for-leaving-the-eu

With the RMT also backing a Brexit and laying out 6 reason for leaving

1. Leave the EU to end attacks on rail workers
2. Leave the EU to end attacks on seafarers and the offshore workers
3. Leave the EU to end attacks on workers' rights
4. Leave the EU to end austerity
5. Leave the EU to stop the attack on our NHS
6. Leave the EU to support democracy

https://www.rmt.org.uk/news/rmt-sets-out-six-key-reasons-for-leaving-the-eu/

you have to wonder where on earth Corbyn is coming from.Im not surprised he is siding with the financiers, bankers and big business run EU,his decision to support staying in has always highlighted how morally bankrupt The EU is.

I loved the bit where he said we were staying in to exert influence and would bring reform to the EU What a hoot! :lolol::lolol::lolol:

it would be nice if the IN campaign could explain what reform they intend to seek out and how they intend to achieve it and explain this fully to the electorate so they can make an informed choice. All we get at the moment is hot air and zero substance on this crucial matter.

Well quite (nicely done), also how do they think we will resist further integration after we fully commit to the EU. Can they guarantee our rebates and opt outs will remain, can they guarantee we will not be signed up for the Euro, can they guarantee we will block Turkey's admission to the club Lib/Lab/Con all currently support their entry ... we need to be told!

Speaking of Kinnock

Cameron's getting his orders from the Fatherland ...Someone's just told Paddy that the Lib Dems will get back in Government ... and Kinnock's just happy knowing the EU is a great place for second rate failed politicians to get employment.

The only reason Kinnock supports the eu is because of the fat pension he gets from it. He will lose that if we leave or he speaks against it. He should declare his interest before speaking in favour, so everyone knows why.

To be fair Kinnock and Corbyn are very similar. Kinnock always briefed against the EEC as it was then. Then suddenly when they offered him a job after spectacularly failing at a general election he gets offered an EEC job and he's all supportive. Corbyn's just ensuring he has a job past 2020 when he also fails at a general election. Strange how anti EU he has been in the past and now he's all pro.

Didn't you listen to his speech today? He explained he'd listened and been convinced that staying in is the best option. It's refreshing that a leader has an open mind.

It makes you wonder doesn't it.

I don't think it's a coincidence that it is the older cohorts that are sceptical and more inclined to vote out, they have seen this kind of political cowardice time and time again.

What's that old adage........fool me once shame on you; fool me twice........

I don't think so, I think Paddy is on the line to Juncker, and he just telling him about the EU's plans for dealing with corporate tax evasion.........
