We would normally have been behind the goal but we had about 1500? at the side surrounded by Brummies. Remember a deafening rendition of that keep right on song and as you say a rather tense atmosphere before during and after the game. Happy memories!

We innocently wandered into a pub somewhere near the ground and it was like a Babycham advert. Everyone turned and looked at us and it felt like the whole pub was frozen in time. We made our excuses and left!

Certainly know that feeling. Went to a pub near the Swindon ground it was like a local meeting of the NF/BNP/KKK skinheads and swastikas as far as the eye could see ..

I am indeed, I will leave the next morning on the 6th, time can be arranged if I'm traveling with others. I have spare seats in the minibus if you need travel. I'm not doing it for profit, it's literally the only vehicle I've got so may as well make use of it if any are interested

Might take you up on that if your driving isn't batshit crazy and the minibus is not from the 1970's.

I was at that one with, amongst others, Papa Lazarou. Crazy game where we spoiled their promotion party somewhat.

Karen Brady gave us the smallest allocation possible so we were somewhat outnumbered that day.

I don't recall any specific trouble but it wasn't a pleasant atmosphere, neither in nor around the ground.

1995. Last match of the season. Vaguely recall some minor safety concerns afterwards. In fact we may have had a little involuntary jog. Seem to recall we were along the side of the pitch. I think one of the new stands was being developed.

And... ahem, if I recall correctly ahem ... David Bellotti intervened to get us some tickets for the game. Different times.

I remember your car breaking down on the motorway there Bozza - smoke everywhere.

Anyone got any good parking recommendations up there ? Driving home after the game so ideally not too far away.....

As near to the end of Cherrywood Road as you can near to its junction with Bordesley Green. Free on road parking. Five minutes walk to the ground and convenient to get back to the A38M and M6 via Bordesley Green Rd.
