Yesterday's result was great for us, and now it's up to the team tomorrow, hopefully supported by a baying Amex, to get three points and take advantage of the poor form of others.
Nice use of "baying". A word from my childhood in relation to football crowds.

I think "The Kop are baying" could be a commentary quote from FAC R5 in 1983 and there might be a reference to the Borough fans baying in "Goalkeepers Are Different" (great book).

SSN reporting that talks set to continue with Karanka. The longer the uncertainty drags on, the better.

I have 'Boro to blow the playoffs at 3/1 - the odds have now shortened to 13/8.

It will either galvanize them or be a disaster. My money's on the latter.

................a Middlesbrough statement on Monday said he "will be resuming first-team duties with the club with immediate effect".

It added: "We have 10 games left this season and as a club we are fully focussed on what remains of our Championship campaign."

Fully focussed eh? Yeah ok

Papering over the cracks with an uneasy truce, excellent. The fissures will reappear the next time Boro get turned over.

That whole STROP over playing 2 up front and getting beat "so I guess the fans are happy now" could become a real issue. He's absolving himself of responsibility when they get beat playing that system, but probably feels under pressure to play it now because they've just spunked £13m on Rhodes, so leaving him on the bench doesn't look too clever either.

What a dilly of a pickle.
