Steve Bruce is generally pretty complimentary about us. I really wouldn't want to over do the outrage on this one.

Steve and Chris are fairly good friends. And Steve is also a really nice bloke I wouldn't knock the guy either

Would seem an odd manouevre, a side step at very best, from top of the championship to mid table obscurity.

Very similar to what Freeman did when he left Palace for Bolton a few years back but then again he was going to a much bigger club.

It's not the first time he's said something similar to this on a FL72 podcast. At the time Middlesbrough were on a straight wins run and they were setting the pace despite being second! I don't think he's taking us as serious contenders, even now and having already beaten them.

Not bothered, let's hope we're still there at the end of the season!

Not sure I agree, his teams never seem great to watch and I think he pretty much fluked promotion three years ago when we had a much better side. But I suppose the league table doesn't lie.

Thought Hull looked pretty average on tuesday night, I can't recall any team of his looking that impressive against us.

Pragmatic manager who gets results pretty much wherever he goes. The home draw on Tuesday suited them as much as it suited us.

Everyone form Bruce to the commentators spoke during and after the match as if we were a sunday league side who had done ever so well for coming to Hull and not being destroyed by them.. Self righteous northern monkeys

I thought some of our lot talked like that, bigging up the draw as if it was a major achievement, a fantastic result, heroics from our players, etc. I'm not saying it was bad, but it did sound a little too... I don't know... small?
