So who was lucky enough to see the live debut of Dark Side of the Moon at this gig?

Jeez. These guys still going? I saw them open up for Bolthrower and Napalm Death in the late 80s at ULU.

Already committed to the Stewart Lee ATP and don't think I can afford both. Quite a lot of the bill will end up at Field Day by the looks of it so I might do that.

But yes, the headlines in particular are as good as I've seen for a festival in recent times.

The Primavera bill is a bit tasty. Even more so than usual.

And it's a bellwether for the other festivals on the European circuit. Nice to see both Radiohead and LCD will both be out this summer.

I've been following The Bison Arms crowdfunding pub with great interest. Makes me wonder if the Brighton music scene could locate a venue and do a similar thing for a live music venue?

I don't think Brighton's venues are in a bad place at the mo, with GDS, Bleach, Hope, Patterns, Albert, Komedia & C2 pretty much keeping everyone entertained. There's the Haunt obvs too should you have to go there.

What we're actually missing is a good classical venue where smaller artists can play in beautiful acoustics. I want the entire Erased Tapes catalogue to happily come to Brighton, along with the Symphonia crew. There's **** all for them here at the moment.

I believe that is exactly what has just happened with the old Rosehill Tavern.

We got some good community spaces though - Coachwerks, Cowley Club, Westhill Hall, Hanover Community Centre. It's not something Brighton really lacks imo.

Was due to be Motörhead at the Hammersmith Odeon tomorrow night  might have to give NSTH a loud airing over a couple of Lemmys.

Next up, Skunk Anansie next Friday at the Kentish Town Forum.
