It is human nature for people's first instinct to be acting in their own interest.

Corbyn's vision for our country under a Labour government is transparently a decent one.

But is one we can not afford and would push us back in time to Union rule from the 1970s and more importantly is likely to be rejected by voters

Crikey, what a website. So Russia's largest nuclear test, 50mt, dropped on the centre of London would result in nearly 6m dead, a fireball area of 67 sq km, an air blast radius taking out of most residential buildings of 21km, and a thermal radiation radius of 60km going as far north as Letchworth, and as far south as Haywards Heath. Fall out takes out most of Norfolk and East Anglia. Nice.

Your sentence, and argument, has three clauses.

The first is not true.
The second is not true.
The third is sad and reflects a broken society.

Is a bit grim isn't it.

You are entitled to an opinion but the problem has been that you have posted nothing to support your comments.

Also, how do you claim to be in the consensus, where is your evidence that the majority of the public want to get rid of our nuclear capability? The opinion polls I've seen suggest otherwise. I would add that a lot depends on the question asked. In some polls there is a majority not to replace trident but to find a cheaper alternative, ie retain a nuclear capability. A lot of polls are close.

I don't claim to be an expert but I'm not going to post drivel with no evidence. Where you are right is that no one knows what the outcome would be. No of us want a nuclear war it's just that we are split on how best to achieve that.

Frightening but that is the biggest bomb made and there was only one of them. Wiki suggests that it weighed 25 tonnes and was 8 metres long and the problem is delivery of the bomb that size, hence only one was made (and subsequently detonated). The US has bombs half that size, still devastating though! Russian capability is estimated at a total of 830mt split between about 2500 missiles suggesting the warheads are considerably smaller than the 'Tsar Bomba'.

Here
Who? The guy at the BBC who puts the spin on the latest fantasy story about Corbyn?

I thought most of this stuff emanated from Laura Kuenssberg, the BBC's political editor. She's a woman, btw.

Hmmmm ........ I'd noticed that Laura Kuenssberg was a woman too - and a strangely attractive one at that.

that was concensus of what would happen if nuclear weapons were used it was not that should we have them
I do already know that most would keep it, I am not one of those and never have been and never will be.
the mutual assured destruction suggests just that, and no matter how big or small if one hits london I doubt very much any would survive unless you live in the Shetlands I WILL SAY IT AGAIN THE RADIATION SICKNESS WILL GET YOU IN THE END

I don't believe Nuclear weapons will ever be launched by any territory. All governments are linked at the very highest level, even so called lone states such as North Korea. Big business calls the shots at a higher level than politicians and warmongers. They are not going to destroy the gravy train.

You keep saying this but you are wrong, even the use of Capitals still makes you wrong.

If I was for example living in Cornwall, a bomb in London would not give me radiation sickness so I would not need to go anywhere.
