If you don't mind a 20-25 minute walk, there is an excellent pub called The Swan on Basingstoke Road, just the other side of the M4 (RG7 1AT on the satnav). Last couple of times I've been to Reading we've parked there for pre-match drinkies and a scoff, and walked to the ground from there.

Afterwards you can happily mince your way past all that queuing traffic and be back on the M4 in no time.

Yeah - and the last time I went , all the cars parked between the M4 and the pub had their windows smashed in by friendly locals!!

or when it hits general sale can you get as many as you want?

Normally at the check out there is a little box that says assign friends to tickets.

It's saying sold out....but as of 09.00 now saying back on sale...

Only the initial 2000, another 2000 being released.

Should be a good turnout, only went on sale to non-STH's yesterday and they usually make up a solid proportion of away support.

I imagine there are also a fair few unorganised STH's like me and my group who haven't even bought ours yet.

Reckon we'll have 3500ish there.

I panicked this morning as the extra allocation was announced as on sale yesterday and this morning it was saying sold out.....got to admit I couldn't quite believe we'd have sold out before general sale!

Anyway, once the website clicked over 09.00, they are back on sale, so I got the 3 I needed. :albion2:

I did this last season, and again this season, and found it much easier this season. Just follow Zukey's advice

No. There's a distinction between those that you have, and those that you assign/are new. You need to track down the assign message, and click on that.

Yes that's what I though, and the part i'm struggling with is finding how to assign new people.

Got me and my lad tickets - I was quite excited as it's our first away match but I sense a little negativity about Reading away - things like 'one of the worst days out in the 92. '
Why so grim? Have I picked a bad one?

It's like MK Dons.

It's a pretty bland, meh, place. The ground is miles from the station. The stadium is soulless, the home fans are sh*t, and there is nowhere near the ground to drink, unless you like McDonalds milkshakes.

I know our ground is lacking places to drink, but at least you can drink in Brighton and get a 7 minute train. As opposed to drinking in Reading and walking for an hour.

Blimey its not that bad. You could equally well drink in Reading and get a 7 minute shuttle bus. If you're driving, its handy for the M4 with plenty of (paid) parking sites although expect it to be busy between M4 and the parking. The Madejski is ok - a bit soulless.

New station being built by the station next year

I like the stadium to be fair...Nice and steep and transport is really good and quick.

Last time I saw us win at Reading was the Brooker Zamora quick free kick and Paul Kitson Coming on. Hoping for much the same, especially if we see a Bobby Z goal.

Soulless ground, no atmosphere from the home fans and we don't have a great record there.. I'm sure the Albion fans will make a good day of it all the same!

My advice if you're driving is to avoid the car parks next to the ground, took 45 minutes to get out of last time. It's not that bad, certainly nowhere near as shit as MK Mongs.
